The "upgrade" from Aluminium to Stainless Steel is practically irrelevant when you change the watch in couple of years. Upgrade to Rolex or other luxury brand & will last lifetime ;)

Any point getting cellular if you always have your phone with you? I don’t want to pay extra $5/month for apple watch cellar plan but if there is more than just the cellular functionality then willing to reconsider.
not much, but if you have big house or don't want to do exercise with that huge/heavy pro max then….
Can also watch and listen to podcasts/stream shows from your watch. Can be handy if your eating, or getting handsy with a task and don’t want to open your phone.

There isn’t one. Stainless Steel version only comes in GPS+Cellular.

stainless steel is also strong and less to see the scratches wheras aluminum gets scratched easily

Mostly just different materials and the stainless steel ones have sapphire crystal instead of ion-X glass.
You just FEEL better - the more you pay the more valuable it looks (in your mind) as you'll replace it before you see any difference. It'll be lighter/shock absorbent with aluminium.

Most people don’t upgrade their Apple Watch every year. But yes they are tech products and don’t have much resale value after few years of use.
I kind of agree with your comment but everyone has their reasons to get it.
I personally won't as prefer my mechanical watches but some people might find it handy for work purposes or even recording their sports/exercise activities.
Some people might have money to burn and won't care too much. Like for me I get a new Iphone every two years as I claim the phone as a work expense so its no skin off my nose so they might claim this watch as well for work / tax purposes.
I then give my replaced phone to a not as well off family member so in a way its not really going to waste and same theory can be applied to these watches.
But at the end of the day people can spend their money on what ever they want and this forum is to post deals which the OP has done for people who want this watch.
Once you get a a high income these small costs in life don't really matter too much.

True! Apple Watch when first introduced was trying to compete with luxury watches, but then they decided to move and focus on health features. This is why they no longer offer ceramic / 18k gold version of Apple Watch.
I love my mechanical watches but I found my Apple Watch to be way more useful on the daily.
The phone does most things better. My (now father's) Galaxy Note 4 had SpO2 sensor 8 years ago & more precise than any watch today (because the finger skin is much thinner than the wrist).
For activities where the phone is not practical: sleep, swim, etc. miBand6 for $29 with up to 14day life is bargain.
I only need a watch to tell me the time and to match my attire. I don't need a device to track and monitor what I do.
AS for the other stuff I have my phone so its doubling up (except for the heart rate monitor) but do you really need that? Many people have lived their lives without the need for one

And fair enough. But I have an Apple watch and, now, I barely take the phone out. You can answer calls, so no more running around the house trying to find the phone whilst it is ringing. It is a pedometer so I get off my backside and get some exercise. I can send and receive sms messages. It can act as a remote release for the camera, including seeing what the camera sees. I get weather information. Email info. Ability to play music. It has Wallet and pay options. You can set timers, including voice activated by Siri.
What I don’t need is a fancy looking fashion watch.
I’ve got an Apple Watch 5, so it will be a couple of years before I replace it. This would be five years from purchase.

Er, the fact that you are 'checking for notifications' means you are already sidetracked.
The general test for addiction is being able to last one month without it. If you can't go one month without a thing, then you probably have an addiction to it.
Try this with your phone, the Internet, the news, alcohol, drugs whatever. If one month is too hard, try just a week or even a day. I've found it quite a useful self-test mechanism for all the things in modern life that you probably can live without.
I was mainly referring to the time spent on my phone. I would check an email notification, then open up my phone and start browsing etc.
With my watch it takes 2 seconds and there is no temptation to keep the screen open and do other things.
I might still be addicted but my average daily screentime has definitely gone down.
With this price I expect an actual phone.
Do amazon honour pricing errors?
They generally do, but they have also been known to send error/apology emails out from time to time depending on what the error is.
I’m expecting to receive one here considering the pricing error is around the $400 mark. Hope I’m wrong though.

I thought when I ordered on Saturday it said it was the SS version but now on the Amazon Order Confirm it says -

So not sure if they updated the item link and hence all items get changed to the Aluminium version?
