    Hey HP, look at Dell…

    • +4

I would have jumped on the Dell deals if I got in, in time. This seems to be a decent alternative.

Don't dwell too much - they'll all be getting cancelled/refunded.

Do the Australian consumer laws apply to online stores? You know the whole "whatever the marked price is has to be honoured" spiel.

          • +1

            @Ehx: Nup.

          • +6

@Ehx: Not going to hold up, price errors happen and don't need to be honoured

          • +3

            @Ehx:

You know the whole "whatever the marked price is has to be honoured" spiel.

That's not a law, that's a policy some shops have adopted (up to $50.)

          • +1

@Ehx: No because that's not how that law works

"the seller has no obligation to honour a price made in error, that they know full well the consumer already assumes is an error"

ppl knew full well that a panel that was 1899 wasnt selling for 299 all of a sudden it was a price error

    • Hey there Dell-ilah

    Good specs. What’s the catch?

    • +1

I'll let you know when it arrives lol

    1 HDMI 2.0, 1 DisplayPort 1.4-in

Hmm not alot of connections, gonna be an issue if you need to connect multiple devices.

Begining to think maybe the 299 Samsung one isnt the deal of the century i thought it was

$32 shipping to Adelaide (without insurance) vs $13 AusPcMarket https://www.auspcmarket.com.au/monitors-displays/monitors/hp… (same price for monitor)

    • $5.99 for Melbourne for Mwave.

    • It was $80 shipping to Port Lincoln lol. Got one from auspcmarket cheers mate.

  • Pretty good monitor for the price I've got it.

  • 93 PPI, yeah nah

    • whats a good PPI for this price?

      • It's just doesn't meet my requirements (regardless of price).
I never said it wasn't a good deal.

        • +1

Imagine going to a Toyota Corolla deal thread and saying "180km/h top speed, yeah nah"

    • What's a good PPI or what would be optimal for work use? Any examples you can link?

      • +2

i mean what do you realistically expect for a 32" 1,440p… its always going to be fairly low dpi

its not 4k… its half that

i'm on a 32" 2k lcd now and its fine

        • +1

Tbh, I was just seeing what old mate would say when I ask him to link me a monitor with higher PPI for 339.

      • +1

Depends on your requirements, how picky you are, and what platform you use.

        https://www.sven.de/dpi/

There are other factors to consider eg. colour space, bit depth, dynamic range etc.

For example, if you are a macOS user who cares about having a perfect retina without scaling, above 200 PPI is a must:

Cheaper than employees can buy it for.

  • Does anyone know how this compare to the Samsung G52?

    • Not monitor guru but on paper both looks pretty much the same to me? the g52 gets gsync while this gets freesync prem.

  • Would this be good for PS5 now that they support 1440P

    • bit overkill???

i dont think PS5 supports 1,440p at more than 60hz… but shee-it… if you can afford a $750 console then a $330 panel aint no thing…

      • meanwhile, pc gamers spent up to 2-3k without a monitor…. idk about you but if his only device is a ps5 then his budget is a lot lower than those already looking at the monitor.

  • Also here slightly cheaper: https://www.saveonit.com.au/product/hp-x32-ips-165hz-qhd-hdr…

    Haven’t checked shipping prices though.

    • less than $2 saving for a less known and trusted company = more headache down the line with returns and repairs.

  • I bought this one earlier this week before the deal was posted here. I am very happy with the product for the price! Couldnt be happier.

  • I'm looking for something for home office. Web browsing, documents etc. Is this overkill? There's a lenovo for 261 @TGG. I'm not gaming so is this worth the extra? Thanks!

"A higher refresh rate means a smoother-looking screen that's easier on the eyes. So, if you're trying to ease your eyestrain, a refresh rate of 120 Hz is optimal. There's no need to pursue that high-end 144 Hz or 240 Hz monitors"

  • Everyone check your orders asap when the item arrives, I just got mine and it's a defective damaged one, was quite the hassle over the phone and had to even speak to a manager to get it sorted, still waiting though on the confirmation email and has been an hour, I expect to go through a couple more phone calls of hassle to not have to wait 2 weeks on a replacement.

  • Does anyone have experience with how well this copes with glare sitting next to a window?

I will mainly use this for work from home 9 - 10 hours x 4 days - e.g. emails, web browsing, spreadsheets, powerpoints, ms teams etc. I don't play any games or watch movies on the monitor (I use my tv instead).

I currently have 2x 24 in side by side. Would this 34 in be roughly the same size of both of them. If not, any reasons why I can't put an existing 24 in next to the new 34 in?

My HP 25vx is super reflective so I have to close the blinds lol. My Samsung c24f390fhe copes much better.

Yes, I know I am in desperate need of a monitor upgrade haha
