  • Has anyone actually purchased/viewed a 3D tv yet and what is their opinion? I can't believe the hype is still going, I honestly thought it would have disappeared by now.

    • you dont have a jb hifi around your place? i cant believe someone has never viewed a 3D tv yet.

  • Put price in title.

    • done

  • how good is TCL? never had any tcl product.

I don't know about exported (to Aus) products, but domestically speaking, in China TCL is a first-tier manufacturer.

[edit] OP, you forgot to include the shipping cost, which would add $49-$69 depending on the state you live in!

    • yes, agree. more or less like Changhong.

  • TLC Damaged?

tcl = soniq = every other generic chinese brand

wrong, TCL is the top TV brand for the last 20 some years in China.

yes, TCL is actually quite big.

        • Bing Lee had TCL tvs several years. I haven't been in there shops since then. Anyhow it was their cheapest sets on display. The quality was junkier than Ritmo, Kmart home brand, etc.

you do know the difference between chinese and Chinese, right?

  • I have used TCL brand for many many years back home, it's a great brand…. It manufactures TVs for many reputed companies.

  • I have a TCL 42inch lcd 1080p and i am not hugely impressed. Pretty average image quality but my biggest gripe is that it doesn't have 1:1 pixel mapping so pc connection looks blurry. I wouldn't buy again.

it's u who should be blame that chose a wrong model.it has Nothing to do with tcl. ur "biggest gripe" should be why u didnt do ur hhomework.its as funny as complaing why bmw use premium petrol not the e10, then make statement that u will never buy a bmw again.^O^

    • Thanks for pointing this out. Does anyone know if this TV supports 1:1 pixel mapping? I'm currently at work, so it's not good to spend time research this. The timer on the page said the deal expires today. I wonder if it will still be available tomorrow.

      • The counter is 24:17:xx now. Look like I have another day to agonize over this.

  • My 26 inch TCL LCD TV bought almost 5 years ago is still running strong, no problem at all,LOL!

I recall seeing Kogan had a 46" inch 3D LED TV for $549 + Delivery recently, so this deal is OK but nothing special: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/69064

    • I would trust TCL more than Kogan. They have very good reputation in China.

  • Bought this when brand when my ACER was dying after having it for almost 5 years and my TV insurance gave me money to buy a new one. Ended up getting this brand, used it for one day and it stopped working.

Spec's wise, its a good television even though I received a bad one. Ended up returning it and forking out some money to get an LG 42LW6500 for a bit more.

Apparently TCL uses Samsung parts or have something related to Samsung, can't be bothered to wiki it .

PS: I bought that same TV COTD has for the same price when WOW was still in business
