Unpopular Australian Food and Drink

Do you know any lost or unpopular Aussie food and drink products?

For example, my mother tells me Portello was popular once upon a time as it was manufactured here. Ribena also seems to have lost relevance (at least from my perspective and people I know). What cuisine do you think has faded from the public consciousness?

TAB - the original diet drink (cola?) One calorie per serve. Mixed well with Bacardi when you couldn't get your hands on Coke.

Steak flavoured Twisties, they were the best.

Coolabah wine coolers - such a big thing in the eighties but I don't think they are still around. Where will you hide your Coolabah?

Much more recently, frozen potato scallops. Colesworth stopped stocking them a few years ago but I still browse the freezer section in hope.

    • There is a Golden Circle factory outlet in Brisbane that sells frozen potato scallops. Do you have one near you?

      • I am in Brisbane, I shall look for that, thanks!

  • wild peach cooler 4l casks

  • Musk sticks. Only good for throwing at people.

  • Royal Crown Cola.

    • "It's right for me, might even be right for you". Why do 70s ads linger in my brain…
