For those stupid and lazy like me, that means next Tuesday.

    • +13

One day only? OK Dominoes, C U Next Tuesday.

    • Yay lunch for my WFH day sorted.

    • +2

      It is now next Tuesday

      • +1

lmao, legend, just got home and legit forgot about the deal

  • +12

Last time I took up this offer, the traditional Pizza was not worth $6. Its like they are trained to make the worst pizzas during these promos. It's just OK for $7.95 on normal days. Of course this is store/manager/employee dependent so YMMV

    • +1

      Spot on

    • +1

      Depends on the store…

      • leave a low rating and complaint

        • +1

Lol yeah I left a 7/10 review the other night and scored a free pizza. Thought 7/10 was pretty good for Domino's.

          • @Canberralad92: 7/10 on where?

The Domino's app/post survey is 5 stars system

            • @capslock janitor: Your dedication to the Domino's review screen is impressive. It was on the android app, after receiving delivery there were several fields to leave feedback on a scale 1/10 - ie driver presentation, pizza quality, time to deliver (was it hot and fresh?) Etc.

              • @Canberralad92: Interesting. Your dedication is also impressive

I will check it again during the upcoming Tuesday redeal

    • +4

Ive got a few around me and the most consistent one is the corporate owned store. You can see on the receipt if it's corporate or franchise.

      • Exactly

Btw the one in Oakleigh (vic) is quite good

    • +1

Agreed. Very store dependent but also find stores that are not as busy. The busy stores just rush thru the order to keep up

    • +2

My local is a franchise and is half decent (I only ever get during promos). Well worth the $4 or $6 for value and traditional.

    • My local pizzahut is similar, normally great pizzas but if they work out its a free one its burnt and i suspect slightly small

    • they aren't trained to make bad pizzas, it's the insane demand during these times that cause lower quality.

food quality and peak hour are inverse relationships. You often get the best service out of peak times.

  • I haven't had domino's in years, how's the taste and toppings per price ratio (is it a decent amount of toppings) compared to pizza hut?

    • +7

Very much a store-by-store basis. I have had positive and negative experiences at both depending on where I went.

    • -1

Peri Peri chicken pizza i just ordered was good and went down well with a vanilla Pepsi Max😉

  • +1

Anyone else have less than ideal experiences with Domino's deals?
Whenever I receive mailed voucher codes they never work for any of the 5 closest stores.
Similarly, this deal also doesn't work when ordering for the 20th on the app (Android)

    • +1

Mailed as in emailed? Their emailed codes are normally store specific (their junk mailed ones were too, but have had a no junk mail sign for a while now), genearlly for the closest store to you.
Perhaps your default store is wrong in your profile and you're trying vouchers from the wrong store at your closest stores?

      • +1

        Physical junk mail, not email

    • +2

For this deal on the 20th, you should not need a code, if its like the previous times. Codes will also vary depending on the store you order from, so thee codes above may not be for your store.

      • Ok, let's hope so. I have previously been able to preorder the pizzas when the $3,5,7 deals came around. But trying to order on the day wouldn't let me use the codes for nearby stores. I'm guessing a franchising thing?

        • +2

This deal should be available to all stores, there is no way of opting out according to an Ozbargainer familiar with Dominos Marketing.

Do you have the new updated Dominos app?

          • +1

@Crownanchor: I have the Domino's app and the domino's offers app, both up to date.
E: This time around I am receiving "THE VOUCHER 103974 IS NOT ACCEPTED ON THIS DEVICE." when ordering from any of the apps

            • +1

@Mr Awesome: How about Enmore NSW 2042 store on the 20th? Would also be interesting to see what Android device you have.

              • @Crownanchor: Galaxy s8, s21 ultra nor Iphone work. Tried a couple different accounts too. Are you able to input the codes for an order on the 20th?

                • +1

@Mr Awesome: Interesting, i get the same error. So assume the codes are not active yet, there is some awareness that the code is for the 20th as its a different error using a different date. Will wait a few days and check codes again.

                  • @Crownanchor: Oh right, I thought you had them working haha. Hopefully yes, for reasons stated earlier I would like to try and do them earlier rather than later.

  • +3

Thansk OP time to stock up again in the freezer

    • Please tell me that is a joke…

    • +4

Hey man, what's the best reheat instructions?
I've never thought of freezing them, do you freeze them in the box or wrap them in something additionally?

      • +2

I dont recommend Microwave because it'll go soggy.

I would pre heat an oven and wack it in for 10-15mins (varies depending on your oven type).

Or you can use an Air fryer.

It's a trial an error as it depends how you would like it.

        • I dont recommend Microwave because it'll go soggy.

Always microwave pizza with a cup of water. Hell even a shot glass of water will do, just make sure it's microwave safe.

If you heat pizza without water, the pizza absorbs all the microwaves. Water in the sauce and toppings quickly vaporises the crust, making it soggy.

      • air fried pizza is almost better than the day it was bought

    • +1

How do you even fit it in the freezer? You break apart all the slices and then stack them???

      • +4

Don't be fooled by Domino's "large".

        • i agree, they would be lucky if it was a 12 inch, so small. what happened to the new yorkers?

      • +1

Stack flat and make layers with baking paper.

  • +2

Thansk OP, Brought meeting forward a week accordingly

Anyone tried the new Burger Joint pizzas?? Any good?

Burger joint pizzas will not work with these codes.

The burger joint pizzas are also not very good.

Few tips for the people at Dominos:

    (1) Why release these deals the Tuesday before they are valid? Yes, it is on people to double check the actual date. But, as has been demonstrated many times before, many people don't check. This leads to situations and wasting time explaining why coupons don't work. They should be released 6 days before they are valid.

    (2) Why make the code specifically only work on the app, and not both website and app? My dad tried to use it last time on the website. Then he found out he needed the app. He is not much into apps and does not have much extra storage space on his phone (only has a basic smartphone). He took the time to download the app, then he logged in, etc. It was slow (possibly because many others were using the app at the same time to get the deal). Ended up wasting 30min or more. Then he called the phone number and asked them to match the price in the offer because he couldn't get app to work. I know you want to boost the number of app downloads and stroke your ego, but ordering by the website is equally as good and straight digital. Your goal was to increase digital orders, yet you actually created a phone order.

    • -6

      Here's another tip.

Stop whining and get your dad to learn to use the app.

My dad is almost 80 and makes the effort to use new apps and latest technology. or better yet how about you be a good son/daughter and buy your dad a decent phone.

You're getting a discount, and only takes a small effort to obtain it.

Stop crying and wanting to be spoon fed free stuff.

      • +1

Did you even read the whole post or not?

The part where he did get the app, and it was frozen (possibly because of lots of other people using it).

        • I did read it and that's why i said to get a decent phone.

I never have issues when using codes for discounts with the app.

          And thanks for the neg.

          • @SpeedRunnerLink: Well, you get first place in the empathy awards.

"I never have any problems - so no one else must either"

You do know that apps actually can run slow or completely freeze due to a variety of factors (including lots of people using it at the same time)?

            • -2

@random12: And you do know it may not be the apps / dominoes fault.

Could be the phone, internet connection speed, network congestion, outdated OS, app not updated to latest version etc.

So if I bought a car and dumped in crap fuel and started blaming the car after it started running like crap, would that make sense.

You're doing that exact same thing right now but blaming the app for the issue and not considering other reasons it could have ran slow.

And if you have so many "tips" go and email into the head office since you appear to

              • @SpeedRunnerLink: No need to argue anymore.

I have put up my constructive criticism and then you came along with your jabs and 'get with the time - grandpa' comment (my dad is not scared of technology, just doesnt have a need for a phone with 1000s of apps, and neither do I).

                • -1

@random12: This will be fallen on deaf ears. The upvoted offers such as this will only attract converted ozbargainers that find this offer useful. So domino haters/annoyed will not be bothered reading the comments section. Youll have better luck with emailing domino's or even better, complain via IG or Facebook

Its interesting how even pizza ordering has evolved. From eating in, to walk in takesway ordering, to phone order, to website, to app ordering. Did we skip fax ordering, email ordering? What next, metaverse ordering?

    • +1

Not sure if it would work but could try putting bluestacks on his computer and loading the app on that so he could order via the computer in the future.

    • Why make the code specifically only work on the app, and not both website and app?

They can hound you with notifications if you download the app and quite a few people just swipe them away rather than actually turning them off.
You unlock your phone 100-150 times a day (on average, apparently). It sitting on your screen is a constant advertisement.

      • I'd be lucky to unlock my phone 10-15 times a day. Do people really have no lives that they live off their phone. Thats crazy that I would think it would be normal(ish) to open it on average once every hour. You're saying the average would be once every 10 minutes or so? That cant be right. Obviously minus off 6-8 hours a day for sleep.

        • I'd take a look at your digital well-being tool because you might be surprised. While messaging someone, I know they mightn't reply for a minute or two so will put my device down and do something else until I get notified of a reply.

Tripview also bumps up my unlocks, I'm checking connections, optimal routes, delayed buses etc.
Ozbargain too definitely. I normally check in between games while in queue which is more unlocks.
Making and answering calls, snapping photos as necessary for evidence/proof, using my card, adding things to calendar or to do list etc.

Unlocking 5 times in 5 minutes and then not unlocking for an hour still is 6 an hour. I'm not on my phone constantly, I've only had 3 hours SOT all day.

          • @pennypincher98: I get the well being notifications on my Samsung. I hate photos lol. I have other things to do in the day than look at my phone or wait for replies. I organise alarms, events so everything is already there. My phone is constantly on silent (other than alarms). I only look at it when i want to, not when it tells me to. Which is what most people should be doing, everyone seems to be controlled by them.

            • @Whisper Quiet:

I have other things to do in the day than look at my phone or wait for replies.

Me too. That's why it counts as an unlock each time.

I organise alarms, events so everything is already there

You need to unlock your device every time to add one.

              I hate photos lol

I'm not taking selfies or food pics lmao. It's a work requirement.

My phone is constantly on silent. I only look at it when i want to, not when it tells me to.

              I don't have that option.

Some people are genuinely addicted to their phones. However, some need to check their phone often throughout the day.

              • -1

@pennypincher98: Wow you sound really defensive listing my points and arguing against them, for how to defend against your addiction. Some people are addicted and thats my point, you seem to be one of them. People do not need to check their phone that often. Even for business reasons, you can always change notifications to only allow certain important calls. These days people let their phones rule their life. Its not healthy. If you really unlock your phone over 100-150 times a day, thats a serious problem! You may not like to hear it but im sure you're aware its not good.

                • @Whisper Quiet: Wow excuse me!?! You're the one with the serious problem for randomly attacking someone who simply explained their circumstance. Now allow me to do the same.

You check your phone 10 times in an 18 hour day (-6 hrs for sleep). You must be a bitter old soul with no family or friends left to love as it's clear you value yourself more than anyone else.

Even for business reasons, you can always change notifications to only allow certain important calls.

Do you have dementia or are you really this stupid? As I just said I use it as a LEGAL REQUIREMENT to take photos of packing slips, delivery signatures, packages, part numbers, machinery etc. * If I do not do this I will get fired and likely charged because it's a legal obligation to have proper documentation *. Funnily enough, the more work I do, the more I actually have to unlock my phone.

I have to call clients, and potential clients have to call me. Am I just supposed to block out all potential customers? I have a constantly changing schedule, so I need to update my calendar REGULARLY.

This is why everyone hates boomers. They don't accept anything but their way is right, you need to ask permission to live your own life and they think everyone in the younger generation is just scrolling through Facebook the whole day. Well we need to work multiple jobs because you screwed up the real estate market so much while you just enjoy your house being worth 10x more than what you paid.

                  • @pennypincher98: Hahaha. Relax Penny. Im actually in my 30s. Got my first Nokia brick when i was a teenager. Yes all my friends and family complain because i never pick up my phone or reply straight away. The phone is there for my convenience not anyone elses. You really think everyone has this issue where they need to take pictures and receive multiple calls at their work? No its a tiny minority or they have a business phone. By the way you might have the dementia as you never said pictures were for work lol. Writing in bold doesnt help to prove your point. I guess im more efficient with using my phone and do different things all at once instead of constant in and out. You really sound angry maybe I hit a nerve with your addiction? You defend it even more by trying to put me down. Sounds like stage 1 of realisation.

                    • @Whisper Quiet:

By the way you might have the dementia as you never said pictures were for work lol.

                      The above comment says

I'm not taking selfies or food pics lmao. It's a work requirement.

                      Yep. Definitely early onset.
I even broke it up in little chunks for you.. Not even going to bother with the rest of a reply as you seem unable to comprehend even small chunks of information at a time.

        • why the removal?

          • +2

@capslock janitor: I heard a fat person sued dominos for meat-shaming and then they removed it but I don't want to spread rumours 1

            1. I'm joking, chubbies!

  • Oh man.. do I eat healthy or is it cheat day. :D

  • Anybody order Simply Cheese? How do I get it to look like the picture? It always looks drier than cardboard, what extra toppings are recommended?

  • +1

Their "Large" Pizzas are a joke… so small, so expensive, and just average taste

    • +3

      so expensive

What are we comparing it to?

      • +1

anything really, we could compare to good Italian pizza at a restaurant, with fresh ingredients. A large would cost 18-23, and be much bigger than what dominoes is serving, they would be lucky to be 12 inches

        • +6

Yup. Yet tonight I'll have my predictable $4-8 Domino's rather than spend days looking for a decent Italian place that wouldn't rip me off with their potentially fresh, potentially tasty $20+ pizzas.

  • -1

Damn it can't get the offer on their website 😤 oh well their loss…

  • +2

none of the vouchers are accepted by my local store…guess it's not all stores

    • My local store in VIC via app, "The voucher 929068 is not accepted by your selected store."

  • Thanks OP. Dinner sorted.

  • Absolute rubbish. Haven't had in months and thought I'd try it. Ended up binning it after the second slice.

  • Thanks, worked in Cairns FNQ
