Melbourne fans don't wanna pay full price to see their team get thumped by the interstate Bears

    • I saw Demons vs Lions at the MCG in June. Lions got thrashed but it was really odd that it felt like there were way more Brisbane fans than Melbourne.

      • +2

Brisbane would still have a half decent supporter base in Melbourne made up of former Fitzroy supporters. Likewise with Sydney and South Melbourne.

        • If given the opportunity, the Bloods always come out in September

Brisbane fans die hard. If airfares weren't a billion dollars, I'd be heading to Melbourne for the game!

I'd be checking if the seats are under cover, for Friday night. A few showers are forecast.

I'm not in Vic nor a Melbourne/Lions supporter, but upvote for finding a discount code for an AFL Final. First I've ever seen.

wipes the tears away using the $93 tickets I purchased on Monday

Good find OP, lets go Dee's

I got my mates guest passes to MCC members for $95/ticket. I better shout them a full strength beer in a glass to make up for it! 🍻

      PS. ‘Carn the Roys.

    • hope you're still holding onto your $93 ticket for the 2nd round of tear wiping duty!

on a second note, being a Collingwood supporter I may need to borrow it tomorrow for the same haha

      oh what a season

I just want to give you a bit of an insight into the Saturday afternoon team.
We’re a bunch of unique individuals – Malthouse, Harley, Zempilas, McLachlan and myself.
We’re gonna engage with our minds and our hearts. We’re gonna exchange ideas, thoughts and even our energy.
And to speak from your heart you need to have courage. You need to be honest and authentic.
We’re not always gonna get it right. And sometimes, you’re not going to agree with us.
But that’s okay, because just like you we care. Just like you, we’re passionate about the game.
So if you want to come along for the ride, join us on Saturday arvos, because we just love the footy.

      Is that you, Peter V'landys?

  • Wow, in WA, games can cost $100+ a ticket.

    Pretty embarrassing for Melbourne

    • very

    • The tickets are visitor tickets, in the visitor section #justsaying

Minnow club. Can't even bandwagon. Mt Buller. #justsaying

  • As an avid Dees fan, I was bitterly dissapointed in the way Ticketek handled the allocation on Monday.
    It was a mess.
I just hope Melbourne turn up this week because I turned up last week.

I am a pies supporter and I missed out on this week's tickets.

oh well, I secured a ticket to this match, because AFL is a religion, right? I have some Dees socks in the closet, too lol

I have some Pies merch as well. Came in handy about 15 years ago when I was surrounded by some Pies fans at a Queens bday match.
Half time I was given a hat to wear 😂

        • ahaha gotta love Collingwood supporters

I absolutely adore watching how they emerge in their black and white glory from the western side of Punt road, heading for the MCG for a home match

traffic completely be blocked for a while

    Excellent price for finals footy!
    Carn the Lions!

    • I expect lions to get the boot, but who knows: I also thought that swans match was a done deal and see how that turned out

  • Only allowed 4 tickets so more than 2 kids or want to go with a bunch of mates = no deal

    • Make two bookings with a mate?

If you have a Telstra service and have access to Telstra tickets, there are $20 tickets available

    • Wow that's a great find. Seems you have to select "AFL members" to access them on Ticketek. Level 1 and Level 4 (front) of the Shane Warne Stand are decent spots if it's not raining.

    • would you PM me a passcode for those? :)

    • can anyone who has Telstra access those tickets?

      • yep

  • so who's here tonight? do you see what I see?

    • Melbourne fans don't wanna pay full price to see their team get thumped by the interstate Bears

      • +1

as a Collingwood fan I don't care whose ass is getting married to whose boot, but Lions are playing fantastic tonight

        • One last twist? It's been a good game either way.

edit: The twist was Jake Lever's IQ

          • +1

@King Steuart: one of the best ones I've seen! money well spent

p.s. OMG when Melbourne kicked that double doink tho

but to be fair, lions also hit behind in the Q1 point blank, so that kinda evens out? not really lol
