Not sure what others think about this, but $20 for 20 coin batteries is a great deal but the $21 shipping fee. Not so much

    • Hi
Shipping should be not more than $10 (for 4x 5pk) Austraila wide (excluding remote area)
If you can PM the postcode to me, I may help you to check.
      cheers

      • My postcode is 2200

        • by adding 4x 5pack of CR2032 to cart
the total postage for postcode 2200 should be
          Delivery & Handling:$9.98 (after discount)

Please try it, and you may PM if you still have problem, I will help to resolve it.

    • What are you going to do with 20 before they expire?

      • Mainly Airtags which last around a year per battery. It's also nice to have around in case I have a device that uses the battery.

      • What are you going to do with 20 before they expire?

If your family has 4 of these SmartTags that's 4 cells a year or 8 cells a year for the SmartTag+.

This temperature sensor will last maybe 2 years per cell. If you have 3 of them around the house that's another 3 every 2 years.

  • Not a deal at all

    • You can't say no deal without evidence of how its not a deal? I just scanned ebay and for the same product it seems as cheap as it gets!

    These things should be banned.

      why?

      • +1

        Yeah, good question.

        Why?

      • -4

Small children have died when they ingested them. I thought new laws are coming to make it safer i.e. battery compartments must be secured and they are to be sold in child-proof packaging.

          Oh god

        • Well, they have implemented the below, which is quite a good measure to help with the significant risks.

Bitter Coating Technology: A non-toxic bitter taste ring-shaped layer with Bitrex® applied on the back side of the cell to discourage swallowing from babies and toddlers.
Child resistant packaging with double blister to avoid accidental opening - can only be opened with scissors

@Dannyism: Christ - you almost need an oxy torch to open these packets!

The new child resistant battery holder laws have been in place for a little while now, its a good thing and hard to imagine how kids could access these batteries without a serious lack of parental supervision! Banning the batteries seems a bit OTT

            • @hoxygt: The issue isn't really kids getting it from the packets, it's getting them out of flimsy ass kids toys that the batteries go into…

I'm quite impressed by the bitter coating TBH

I agree - the Duracell ones are really difficult to get into. Children will need sharp scissors to get into them. And they really shouldn't be playing with sharp scissors. They're definitely not going to be opening them by hand. Or mouth.

Yeah so people like myself who need them for the diabetic testing machine can go without

      • -1

Yeah sorry… because diabetic testing machines can't be powered any other way…

  • I guess nocure won't post everything you ask him to.

Well gosh darn. I could never work out why I preferred the taste of Energizer .. it was the Bitrex® all along!

    • +1

My last lot of CR2032s, I licked them to see if the Bitrex was as bad as they said :)

(Costco had these at $19.99 for a 20 pack delivered in June)
