eBay Plus have updated their terms with us to say that Cashback isn't to be used in conjunction with any other offer, so it's a risk to try and redeem both Cashback and any vouchers offers they're running because whilst it'll likely track they might invalidate the Cashback at a later date, so I'd say use your discretion as to whether you try and stack here.

ShopBack’s Notes:

  • Cashback is calculated based on the Order Value, excluding any GST/Taxes, Delivery Fees, & any amount paid for with Gift Cards.
  • Cashback will track initially at $0.00 and will be uplifted once Annual Subscription has been confirmed.
  • Customers who cancel their Free trial will not be eligible for cashback
  • Monthly eBay Plus Subscriptions are ineligible for cashback
  • Existing eBay Plus Customers will not be eligible for cashback on Sign Ups

DON'Ts

  • Return, Exchange, or Cancel your order, as it will result in partial or fully Rejected Cashback.
  • Use promo codes not listed by ShopBack. This will invalidate cashback.

    WTF just realised my ebay plus membership cashback was rejected despite after SB fixing up the tracking. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Why would SB bring back this unreliable offer?

We experienced some tracking issues when eBay Plus first launched with us, and I worked to get users in the community sorted and am happy to do so ere for you. We took eBay Plus down as soon as we were made aware of the known issue, and have resolved the issues from last time and done extra testing to be sure all is well before they returned with this one.

        Yes you did fixed up tracking, I'm satisfied that SB did its part. My neg is about eBay. What's the point of fixing up tracking if eBay rejects the cashback later? eBay has wasted both yours and my time.

          I just noticed in my SB history an "eBay Plus" $40 confirmed cashback in addition to an "eBay Plus membership" $0 rejection. So it seems GYB managed to get it for me.

        Yeah fine if it isn't instant but they fact you can't put it though is concerning you can't select the time like other Cashback

    Jumped through all the hoops and never got the cash back from the last deal, waited patiently and then realized you can't contact support after 30 days if something goes wrong, pretty dodgy tactic to avoid helping your customers

    I did everything correctly in the last deal but cash back was never tracked. Messaged them and got an email saying that missing cashback is successfully tracked. It never was! We shouldn't be expected to keep messaging them when nothing is actually being done. Very disappointed with the tactics these guys are using!

    Shopback and eBay notoriously hopeless at this stuff and both blame 'technical issues' and never resolve customer problems.

    I'd have zero trust this will be honoured between these 2 companies sadly.

      I understand the frustration and the suspicion you shared. I personally also had problem with the tracking during last round of subscription to ebay via shopback but I reached out to @gotyourback and he/she/they was very prompt in fixing the tracking and I got my cashback within the next 3 months. Don't think it's fair to jump to conclusion if you have not tried reaching out.

    • Yep. I got caught out with a $22USD cashback via door dash. Sale was never tracked even though you can clearly see that the link was passed through Shop Back. Shop Back and Door Dash are on my permanent s$*&t list.

      Usually, these $20 offers are not an opt-in/opt-out type of promo, in fact, there is actually no way of not receiving the targetted $20 voucher if you signup within the promo period.

      So you're saying if we see a $20 ebay promo don't bet on receiving the $35 cashback will be paid out?

        This refers to signing up using one of their own special offer pages that has a voucher attached, if signing up using the link to our site/app, if anything's automatically added it shouldn't cause issues.

      • Hey mate, that might be considered gaming in eBay's terms so there's a chance it'll get invalidated. Safest bet is to have one eBay Plus subscription per ShopBack account.

    Was tempted, but I don't trust either SB or CR for larger purchases, even if I can chase it up I don't like the hassle.

    I'll leave my membership off until the next $50 coupon is offered.

  • Just came here to say, in the last deal my cashback didn't track. It didn't go any further than click history. I reported it/or not it didn't move. I contacted @gotyourback after more than 3 months and provided details and I already got the cashback.So, while there are flows, they are working very hard. Deserve my business. YMMV.

  • I got the cashback last time but it took forever and a lot of effort. I had to talk to GYB, report missing cashback, check back every few days and wait endlessly for it to be finally tracked and confirmed. My advice is if you don't like the hassle you may want to pass on this deal. (if you don't mind tho, you'll most likely get your money back if you actively seek help from the shopback team)

    Bit of a dumb question but… What do you buy these days on Ebay that his cheaper or not available on other e-commerce websites like Amazon?

      For this month, eBay are giving 5x 0% variable fee on items you sell during September - only eligible for eBay Plus members.

      So depending on the value of the items you sell, you could save more than the $49 already just on those 5x items.

      Fingers crossed this will be a regular monthly thing!

      Logged into shopback again Monday and purchased using the correct card and still today this hasn't tracked.
      Tried to report a missing cashback but don't have an order ID.
      Shopback plus says eBay plus cashbacks are tracked in 2 days..

      Use your eBay email address that you signed up to eBay Plus as your Order ID.

      They’ve now changed it to 5 days.

      Any missing Cashback claim you made after 2 days you’ll find has now been deleted.

      After 5 days you’ll have to raise the missing Cashback claim again.

  • No tracking after 5 days either. Claim submitted. If no response in 3 days will message rep here. Btw rep is helpful but SB need to fix the tracking issue and not attend case by case basis. There are many who will forgot to chase up.

    • Yes I noticed that too. Use the "Authorisation Code" from the email from eBay.

      It's so frustrating.

      I purchased eBay Plus on 5/9, then submitted my missing cashback claim on 8/9 and was able to use email as Order ID.

      SB then deleted my missing cashback claim, and I noticed that the timeframe was changed to 5 days instead of 2 days.

      Submitted again today - email no longer allowed as Order ID.

      I am going to bet there is a good chance this ends up getting rejected.

      It expires.

      As with all eBay codes - it doesn't stack.

      The only things that stack are Gift Vouchers that you purchase.
