Thanks for posting. Interested - briefly - but I think I'll go 4090 or 7900xt…probably latter, pending reviews/tests (and release, lol). Coming from 1050ti this could be the biggest leap ever, unless someone out there is going from nothing to one of these.
4 years ago i went from Intel HD Graphics 620 on a laptop to RTX 2080.
Big move. Will you be sticking at that for distant future?
sticking to the 2080? I'm observing the market and currently aiming at the 4000s, but I'm not desperate.
Similar here! I went from a Dell company issued laptop (i5 Latitude 7490) to a 6800 XT.
Pls don't tell my boss haha
the sweetest thing is when you fire up that high end game you've been longing to play for years, and the frame rate on top left of corner of your screen says "144".
I am that someone who will go from nothing (well… ps4) to next gen graphics PC after HODLing for yearssss.
Lol fail
I dunno … they asked for a neg vote and they got neg votes :P
$899 by the end of the year.
1k / 1.2k in Sept I reckon
Get a 4070 instead, more powerful than this.
Sure but you will be waiting until probably May next year for a 4070
Not sure why you were downvoted, biggest truth statement of them all.
i reckon wait for the 5060, more powerful than this
Get a 980Ti, much cheaper than this.
but looks like it is not 24 GB though,
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-rtx-4070-flip-flopp…
"Instead of the 2080ti for 1k, you will get a 3070 for $750"
Hold the line… Holddddd….
Apes stronger together!
Half the price of my second hand car. Damn.
One of my friends bought a used car for $700, so more than twice the price of his car.
Is he still living?
Are you asking because of how long ago it must have been, or how bad the car is? :)
I admire your discipline to not spend lavishly
I just dont get the obsession with over priced graphic cards. Years ago you got one to play games but now people have glass to admire it inside their PC. Its about the games right?
It may be used for productivity (rendering, deep learning etc), 3090 was/is a good deal if your task benefits from 24GB of VRAM.
Thanks OP! I was waiting for that $100 price drop, just bought 3 of them. Hopefully I'll be able to mine heaps of ETH with them.
Hold the line
This outdated garbage is worth $700 on a good day.
100% of promo stock left haha!
$1699 Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I know right? Guess they're going to try.
Hodl . $800 budget is good for this card after two years.
*$200 budget
You've always got bad predictions on the future, got any more for us all?
Actually 800$ is a decent budget for a very good GPU. Miners screwed it all ;)
3090 is Titan class, no way you can get brand new Titan back then for $800.
3080 10gb maybee after 40xx series out, but not above that.
No, not the 3090, but 3080 should have been 800 at the end of its cycle. But it still isnt there becuase Distributors/retails bot them at high price during peak crypto craze.
@[Deactivated]: I take it it wasn't you who negged?
@[Deactivated]: Jeez, you're fragile.
The true question is, was there even a post about a 3xxx series GPU if non-LHR didn't make a post complaining?
Don’t know what that’s meant to prove but of the last 50 GPU posts you’ve commented on all 50 with something smart.
You don’t have better things to do with your life?
@aaronmr: better things than posting HODL messages on every GPU posts for sure.
@[Deactivated]: Not really if all you are doing is the reverse.
too late. if this was price back in months ago.
i might..
but months ago it wasn't the same market
is there any place to get ex-miner cards for cheaper price ?
Not until Eth PoS.. In a couple of weeks supposedly.
Hope nvidia does not screw that and the planet.
my garage.
TUF sell
If no one buys super rip off NGreedia video card, then NVidia will be forced to drop the cards prices much more.. they simply don't have any other options and they are way overstocked with 30 series GPUs atm.. hence the super delays on 40 series release.. (looks like we'll only get 4090 this year due to massive overstock of 30 series cards)
Or they dump them in the bin and hold up pricing for 40 series and make the profit back that way
peak capitalism
So desperately to clear out the stock lol
HODL my brothers and sisters… 4080 is coming https://3dnews.ru/assets/external/illustrations/2022/09/01/1…
MSRP $1499. 5% inflation included.
i still dont get how "HODL" works in this instance, as it literally means "Hold on for dear life"
Its like saying, hold on for dear life, this card will be $900 in a few months!
Doesnt make sense…
Hodl doesn’t mean hold on for dear life, you’ve just proved you’re not a child of the internet.
Im not sure how you could fail that hard at life:
People aren't HODLing that well considering 20% of the stock has cleared
sauce?
no one bought 1650, but many bought 3080 and 3090s, that saying something…
These 3090's and the like don't make sense to me. Is this really a good price for any GPU?
the best price so far for brand new items before they all gone for good.
you could always buy 2nd hand for cheappies, but heck, buy brand new, with full warranty and support.
I know what you mean, but personally I just question wether any consumer GPU has ever been worth this much money, even if it's technically a "good price".
3 years ago, cheapest 2080 Ti was $1399: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-20…
@[Deactivated]: IMHO 3090 is closer to the last gen titans than to 2080ti
@DmytroP: rtx titan price will make hodler scream like a woman giving birth: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/422278
Until the 3090 hits 3080 RRP….HODL!
is it over? now 1899?
It will be back, got 4-6 weeks till the 4090 is out.
anyone loving this calm before the storm?
there are zero deals in the graphics section at the moment. lol
the standoff between consumers and retail.
3080ti just hit 750USD in the States.
These aussie retailers aren't budging!!!! lol
let see who wins!!!
I assume that the retailers are stocked up with cards, and if they have to lower the prices much more, they will have little or no profit margins.
Suspect we'll see the real drops when the retailers can buy cards at lower prices…but the low prices have to start further back down the supply chain first.
Def wait until RTX4090 press event by NVidia, coming very soon™.
RTX2080Ti prices dropped by ~$1000 in Australia less than 24 hours after the 30 series press release.
Back in stock
My wife's boyfriend told me I must HODL. Sorry OP.
