It depends on the bank, this is technically a cash advance, with 20% off you should break even on the fee, just pay it off asap instead of waiting around for interest charges. (Can't hurt to pay down the amount early even if it isn't a cash advance.)
I used commbank credit card and got a net code to authenticate/confirm purchase at 12:30. Received gift cards after 20 minutes from purchase.

Bought using Westpac card. Didn't encounter any issues. It asked me a number to send the code to approve payment. Selected the number, code entered and payment processed.
Yes just managed now with Bankwest, they did use SMS code verification to avoid fraud though (standard for this kind of thing).

I thought one of the codes was invalid but I guess it was Uber blocking me from adding too many cards at once. So I added the last one through the app and it worked. So just switch the platform and add remaining codes there.
Wasn't working for me all of yesterday. Tried on Uber, Eats, and their website (wallet.uber.com). Ended up using uber today which brought my wallet value below $800 and tried to re-add the final gc and it finally worked.
Try adding as a coupon instead of a gift card. This worked for me and I was able to add the last 2.
For anyone failing payments, are you buying 1K worth? It kept failing on 1K for me on single card. My card has no transaction restrictions , so don’t know why.

The fact that you are getting those walk in prices delivered to your door saving you fuel and time. There are also many instances where you are getting pretty good prices on things after a promo, so in that case it’s even better. For example, the last Liquorland 30% off deal, I was getting a $20 bottle of wine for $13 delivered. Imagine combining with this. Last of all people can use this for Uber not just Uber eats so there’s a fair bit of value there too.

Well it also works for rides, I know i'll typically use Uber at least once a month for a night out which typically runs $50/ew.
So if I know i'm going to spend $100/month on Uber, why not load up in advance at 20% off.
Yeah but I only order from restaurants with offers and generally the offers are not bad, like buy 1 get 1 free, $20 off $30 orders and so on. So imagine getting further 20% off on that + free delivery from Uber Pass. Those are some real savings.

Didn't actually know people pay for ubers eats ridiculously overfalted prices, isn't it just better to support the restaurants directly, uber takes to much commission, I understand 20% good for a gift card, but with the prices they charge makes this not to much of a deal unless it's for uberx ad it can be used for both

I also got an error on payment - I copy/paste the Credit Card number into the form. It failed so tried typing manually and worked. It worked!! Might be because when I pasted it in it had spaces in the number.
Not sure if this is the cause of other people's payment issues but might be worth trying to type numbers without spaces.??

Just a tip for people… I had the payment error last time and giftcards.com.au told me exactly what is going on.
So if it happens to you, call your bank, tell them it was you that did the transaction and to lift the block on future transactions with this merchant. Call giftcards.com.au (phone numbers on their webpage), and wait 0.75 business days for an email response and try again. Do not try again before giftcards email you back advising the block has been lifted or you will have to start the process again. Don’t panic there’s plenty of stock but you just have to get the transaction in before the promotional period closes. Alternatively just change your name, email and card number. Not a single value can be the same as the values that you used in the original blocked transaction.
A simple way around this is giftcards could use the VisaSecure (Verified with Visa system) / Mastercard SecureCode and prompt the cardholder for OTP. I don’t know why they don’t :/
My Citibank visa does use the VisaSecure for Giftcards.com.au, must be an opt-in per bank thing

Commbank debit platinum didn't work, although it asked for NetCode verification and Commbank app even showed a notification of a spend. But After all that the giftcard webpage showed an error " We were unable to verify your chosen payment method, please check your details and try again." and no spend /pending showing in the app under the account so must have been cancelled immediately.

I don't think this is right, sometimes it works with my card and sometimes it doesn't, all I do is keep changing browsers til it works, always the same card
I also have to enter the code from a text on my phone every time, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't even after the code but changing browsers eventually gets there.

Giftcards.com.au mentioned 3 yrs from activation but Uber website says Uber Cash has no expiry date.
Once you add gift card to Uber account it converts to Uber Cash so I would assumed no expiry once you redeem. So I would also assume that if you leave your gift card and not redeem it will expires in 3 years.
ANZ card worked fine in Chrome incognito mode on PC. Other half tried it before on ?ipad and card got blocked. A hassle to have to call ANZ to unblock!!!
