HP Omen Spacer Wireless TKL Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches $99 + Delivery ($0 SYD in-Store) @ Online Computer

420

First post so don't roast me.

Thought this was a decent deal considering JB are still selling this for $299

I don't think it's a perfect keyboard as it doesn't have bluetooth but it's exactly what I was looking for (a nice clean aesthetic, compact, wireless, decent battery life, mechanical)

    RGB?

Damn that's a big palm rest.

    • +1

No RGB by the looks of it
And the palm rest, yes it's huge ๐Ÿ˜‚

It has R, as in red keys for wasd n arrow keys

    • +1

It has simple white lighting except for WASD and arrow keys (they light up red)

      • +1

I hate the trend of emphasising the WASD keys.
It looks wanky and is unnecessary. No gamer should need help finding WASD…

        Great first post, though.

  • Not having Bluetooth with a keyboard isnโ€™t necessarily a big issue, if it stays on one spot on a desk till the sun expands than itโ€™s fine, although being lazy and binging YouTube in bed is nice

Given it has a battery and a dongle it seems to be wireless, just not bluetooth.

      • +1

Yes correct. Wireless via dongle just no bluetooth

Odd that they don't list the type of switches, seems to be genuine Cherry MX Browns which are pretty excellent at this price

    • Yes the box says Cherry MX Brown switches. I have updated the title of the post.

First post so don't roast me.

When I look at this post, I think to myself where have you been my whole life? Can you go back there?

    ๐Ÿ™‚

    Also, title needs business name.

  • It looks impressive, but I can't work out why they didn't include flip-out stands for keyboard angle adjustment.

  • +1 for dont roast me

    • OP should be okay for a deep fry ;)

  • HP Omen, brand = Acer? Is this a dodgy seller or what?

    • Most likely Hanlon's razor

If anyone could be bothered you can price match with JB hifi,:

-Either click and collect at store with stock near you and save $10
-Or save $5 and choose their shipping

    Every dollar counts lol

  • I tried JB price match and was told as the seller sold grey-imports they could not price match. They will negotiate a price however.

    • Yep, there's no AU model number on the page so doubt anyone would get a successful price match

    • +1

Yep they told me that they couldn't match the serial numbers so that was a no go.

      • I managed to get them to price match, must be depending on who you get

Read the posting guidelines before you post again.

      LOL good one

      • +2

It really is in the posting guidelines.

But it isn't a rule, it's just posting etiquette.
Not sure why it grates some people so much.

Think how often you use the number pad, even needed occasionally, you may find it's a huge inconvenience not having one.

  • it's already out of stock :( … sigh.. just what I was looking for too

  • I always find it funny when a product that advertises millions of key presses also only comes with a 1 year warranty.

  • Would recommend the Keychron V1 (if it ever is in stock) if you're looking for a mechanical keyboard a bit pricier than this that's similar size (75% rather than TKL).

Thanks OP. Showing as sold out

  • Damn, I have been in market for one and when I find a deal, it's sold out. Anybody wants to sell in Melbourne?
