70x Telfast Generic Hayfexo + 70x Claratyne Generic Lorazol + 70x Zyrtec Generic Cetirizine $32.97 Delivered @ PharmacySavings

9off

Hi Ozbargainers,

Great weather in a number of Aussie Capitals today leading to many hayfever related sneezes and sniffles, I was going to run an alternate deal tonight but after I sneezed my way through the day myself in Adelaide and eBay lit up with antihistamine sales, I thought I'd bring forward next weeks Ozbargain deal to today!

I've been lucky to be provided with a restock by suppliers of deal very similar to this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/714850 which sold out in hours last month, although this time to make the deal work at Ozbargain pricing I've substituted in Pharmacy Action Cetrelief in place of the Dr Reddys Cetrine (same Zyrtec alternate, just an alternate brand)

The 70/70/70 deal (70x Fexo + 70x Cetirizine + 70x Loratadine) is one of the Ozbargain favourites, whenever I can get the stock from suppliers of the required items at the right price I am happy to re-run the deal!

Tonight I've got 100x sets of the deal and it will run until sold out - as I've run a few similar deals lately not sure if this batch will last hours or days - I guess we'll all see….

Are these made in Australia, or India?

    • +1

Pretty sure there is no Fexo, Cetirizine or Loratadine made in Australia. While not listed on the packaging its commonly agreed that most Dr Reddys products are manufactured in India.

      • +1

Just checking, the last bundle I bought (can't recall which store) was India, which is usually fine, it explains the price.

        • +11

Oddly the price is actually due to a very unique set of circumstances; Pharmacy Owner, who buys massive quantities of a very small number of SKU's, running a very budget website while building awesome relationships with drug sales reps, who's also very happy to sit at his PC at night stuffing envelopes and filling his local post box at midnight who also loves buying and selling via Ozbargain ;-)

As best I can see there is one dude in Australia who ticks all the boxes (hence the prices).

          • @jason101: Ha! Gets a +1 fro me for the amusing anecdote alone!

          • @jason101: Interesting. I see people on eBay are selling Loratadine LOL…is that even legal?

            • @Ham Dragon: Can't see why it wouldn't be legal. That's just generic Claratyne.

              • @pennypincher98: Because it's pharmacy medicine. It is illegal. Otherwise it would be sold in supermarkets also.

                • @greatlamp: These aren't OTC though? And they are sold in supermarkets…

                  • @pennypincher98: That's a 5 pack. There are specific exemptions for small quantites. That box won't have 'pharmacy medicine' printed on it.

OTC doesn't mean 'free from regulation', it means 'without direct pharmacist supervision'. It still must be sold in a pharmacy.

                    • @greatlamp: Well eBay sellers have been selling generic hayfever tablets online for years (not just Claratyne). They're under names like "discountozpharmacy" and "prospect_pharmacy". If they're not pharmacies, they're covering their bases well.
eBay itself doesn't allow any prescription or OTC medicine to be sold on its site.

There was also 10 packs I didn't link. Used to be more range at supermarkets but they decreased it as people shopped elsewhere for them.

                      • @pennypincher98: I don't know what the actual limit is, but definitely not anything more than a 10 pack (it's probably a 10 pack x half strength fexofenadine).

I'm not about to submit a complaint to the TGA about it, but that's how the legislation stands

You should assume most medicines are made in India, including the brand name.

Have a look at the box of Telfast or Zyrtec next time, it won't say 'Made in Australia' on it

    • +1

Just FYI, a lot of generic medications are "Made from India", but from my understanding, they all need to pass Australian Standards anyway, so this should be a non-issue. It ain't like a TV etc.

Muppet alert. Used this guy for about 3 years. 1/3 the price of pharmacies and same effectiveness as telfast. Flatpack to save on shipping which is free.

    • +6

There is a shipping option to receive the boxes sealed and intact, if you select flat pack shipping as the option then this is how the items will be shipped. Pretty harsh to neg when this is disclosed, you select this option proceed to purchase then publicly criticise. Happy to post in a satchel (it’s actually easier and faster for me), just select this option at checkout and we’re both happy.

Btw, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/720223 you negged my last deal too, I’m guessing I’m a marked man from this point on.

      Shipping
This item will be flat packed for FREE SHIPPING Australia wide. The items box will be opened, sealed blister packs will be inserted into a bubble envelope which will be sealed for shipping. We understand that a very small percentage of our clients will not want this, if you would prefer to have the item shipped intact in a satchel pack, please select this option at checkout.

idk mate, seems sufficient to me

      • Cheers was just digging that out :-)

Even the post office assumed that these pills were dodgy and had to check prior to delivery.

I'm calling bull$$hit. The post office wouldn't care and definitely aren't checking.

  • +1

These guys have saved me a bomb. Even CW prices and cashbacks don’t even come close

And the “post office” definitely doesn’t check the package because the stamps are never marked.

  • Thanks again Jason!

  • Any discount on the 3x chemist’s own or sensease mometasone alone? Thanks

  • noice. I'll just grab trust loratadine while you have some

  • My wife suffers from Hayfever,

All three medication appears to be for Hayfever.

Do you take them at the same time or try all three separately to see which works best for you?

    • This is not medical advice, yo. Speak with your GP. People have classically allowed a small period of time between switching chemistries for hayfever. It is likely better to avoid having multiple of these active ingredients in your system at the same time. Some have said a day is enough between different types.

  • Which of these would be best for 9yo kids?

  • jason, any chance you may have a look at my private messages please? have not heard from you for a while , thanks.

Love the deals, just not sure what I would do with 210 hayfever tablets of 3 different types, if you're not meant to really mix them up over a season?

  • All orders packed - restocked with whatever stock I have left.

  • any deals with only 70x Lorazol 10mg, Loratadine (Generic Claratyne alternate) and 70x Cetrelief 10mg, Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec alternate)? My wife uses both of these, but the Telfast doesn't work for her

  • @jason101 just placed an order - many thanks!!! Hayfever is messing me up this season. Keep up the great work.

  • Arrived today.
FWIW, the 3 boxes were completely flattened with the seals broken, and all the blister packs were loose inside the AusPost parcel.
    Typical AusPost….

    • +1

Hi if this was parcel sent there will be insurance on the item - please PM details and email with pics.

    • Disregard, I didn't read the free shipping notice on the website. :) All good, thank you!!!!
