$50 Cash Back for Galaxy Note in Participating Stores

42

The Galaxy Note Stand is touring various shopping centers around Australia promoting the Galaxy Note. There is a chance to win a free one in some competition. More importantly if you purchase the Galaxy Note in one of the stores at the shopping center where the Stand is currently located, and bring the receipt to the Stand, you will receive $50 cash back.

The Stand only spends four days in each of the participating shopping centers. For information about where and when it will be located, go here:

For information about the cash back, click on the picture $50 "Cash Back Offer", located on the right side of the home page:

This is probably the dumbest way to claim the cashback….Have to buy the phone in the shopping center WHEN the stand is active on that particular date.

    • i bought one outside the shopping centre and they refuse to cashback. called up samsung headoffice and got the cash back also a free pen & cover……
seems Samsung wants its image better! Definatly has better service than Apple!

      • What was your arguing point? I just bought one in DSE but not in their designated shopping centre… I do not get why they won't do cash back on other shops outside the list…

Anyways, I will try and do it when they come to my nearest one and then try your way @_@

        • I've received terrible service from Apple when my Macbook Pro has problem with the wifi….
No refund, no exchange and no repair within 7 days of my purchase….

        • Oh, I was talking about the Galaxy note, as to what did you say to head office to get the refund. Because I might need to do that.

Do we have to buy it between those 4 days or when this promote is on… it is actually very confusing because when you click on the cash back photo, it says buy one TODAY and get $50 dollars back?

      Test this workaround:

      1. On the right day, go to the designated mall
      2. Online, buy a 'Note, at then best price
      3. Show receipt at stand (or ring Samsung) to get $50 cashback

(I'd guess that in-mall prices won't be competitve on the days the stall is there.)

        For Sydneysiders:

        1. On the 28-30th June, go to Westfield Parramatta.
        2. Online, buy a 'Note from MobileCiti using coupon code here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/71715 for $629.
        3. Pick up the phone and show receipt at stand to get $50 cashback. Now $579.
        4. Optional. Within the next year travel overseas and use TRS?

You better hope MobileCiti still has stock for the Note then ;)

        • EDIT: My mistake, MobileCiti is NOT part of Westfield Parramatta, even if they're on the same block.

        • Does the TRS last that long? I am going to Singapore in Aug!!

No it doesn't. Foolish me …

  • Could be good, guess it depends on what the B&M retailers are charging…

    • It's at least 6 months+ newer, ~$250 more, and doesn't have a stylus ( I never use it, some love it)
      Not really relevant

I seriously doubt b+m stores could ever compete on this, even with cashback

  • competitions are not ba-
…argh nvm, ill wait for JV to post his neg

  • I dont know about the deal, but the phone is truly amazing.

  • $50 of what?

  • Really big neg. to Samsung for a competition/promo only open to those in major areas. How hard would it be for them to open it to everyone online?

    • Maybe they get Westfield or retailer support for their attendance… who would pay them to sit in whoop-whoop? (And… if they're not paid to go, the sales in W-W wouldn't justify their going.)

It's always cheaper in big smokes, else those who pay millions to buy & live there couldn't afford to buy.

[And… it's often -their- promotional comments on OzB & elsewhere that make folks in W-W drool for such toys in the first place.]

      That's business for you… :-)

PS Be patient… BETTER discounts are available for those who buy later in this (& any) product's life cycle.

And… if you wait… they may have fixed any bugs before you buy… bugs that early-adopters will have to put up with now. :-)
