A nice $2 coffee to finish August, much better quality than the (soon to be $2) 7-11 coffee.
Also times well with the start of McDonald’s Monopoly on Aug 31st (1 game ticket).

Ah yes of course, the famous Golden Humps.
Pretty sure this is to compete with the Hungry Jacks $2 coffee deal they've currently got. (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/720288) Apparently it's only for this week though.
I don't get coffee from either one very often but I think they're comparable quality these days since Hungry Jacks has improved theirs a bit.
Last time I checked, HJ just dispenses pre-made instant coffee straight from a machine.
Apparently all Hungry Jacks are now "Jack's Cafe" but I still can definitely taste the difference when I go to a store with an actual Jack's Cafe (on par with Mccafe) and a regular Hungry Jacks (barely better than boiled dirt).
Of course, add enough chocolate powder, syrups, sugar etc and it'll mask how bad it is.
i wonder if they/HJ just use a Chai syrup for chai latte

Still $1 afaik (although idk if they'll rise soon too). Was 80c but hasn't been that for a few years now.

7/11 coffee is equal provided the milk hasn't gone off.
The machines at least make it the same every time unlike macas which the kids somehow manage to ruin occasionally despite the automation.

I find that the $2 coffee I get from shell coles express tastes the best and you can actually taste the strength of the coffee.. 9 times out of 10 maccas coffee taste like milk.
