I was looking at getting the Ricoh GR III or the Ricoh GR IIIx but both models have been pulled from the sale, they were available when I was looking in the morning before the sale commenced (the Ricoh GR IIIx wasn't listed but the Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition was).

Edit: Looks like they are still in the process of adding and removing items from the sale, as the Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition was just relisted.

This brings the Canon R7 with lens kit down to $2071, which is the cheapest I've seen it.

(It was similar the other day with Afterpay sale, but I don't use afterpay. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/719465 )

    • +1

Excellent price for the kit. Grab it quick before they pull the listing off like the last 20% off.

      • I made the purchase before writing the reply, didn't want to risk missing it!

          • @Buy2Much: Ah yes, thanks for the reminder.

          • @Buy2Much: I was going to look at the canon r6 but the free 50mm lens doesn’t appear to be via redemption it is added to order and so does not apply to the eBay purchase :-(

      Sony A7R IV from 3990 to 5100. Fake 20%

    • All you've sent is a link and saying "holy price jacking".
What's the actual price jacking?? My partner did a Science Photography degree and she and most other students would buy
equipment from DCW as they were really cheap and they appear to be selling the same "holy price jacking" lense for $1,869
Do you know how much digidirect2013 eBay was selling the lense before this sale? Isn't this the same lense?

      • I said how much they were selling before the sale - 1.35k to 1.7k

If Georges is selling for cheaper, that's a red flag: https://www.georges.com.au/sigma-85mm-f-1-4-dg-dn-art-lens-f…

        • Another example - I bought a Tamron 28-75 G2 for 1.1k after 17%? off from Digidirect THEMSELVES last month!

Now the lens is 1.5k before the 20% discount instead of 1.3k.

Something doesn't add up. I'm on mobile, links and screenshots to follow.

          • @frowny: Again if you go to either "completed listings" search in "advanced search" or if you go to @digirect feedback
then you can search all there sales and what you state does not appear to be fact. Here is what I found, over the last year @digirect has been selling Tamron 28-75 G2 for $1,549 when eBay offers a voucher, or @digidirect has a sale then it drops as low as $1,369.
Feel free to clarify your statements, because most of them can be checked but every claim you make is coming up blank.
Please check links and copy and pastes.
Also you stated that I bought a Tamron 28-75 G2 for 1.1k after 17%? off from Digidirect THEMSELVES last month!
When I checked both @digidirects sales on completed listings and their feedbacks I could not find your purchase you mentioned
so I can't comment on that. The only similar sale for this item that you bought was sold on 24 Aug for $1,458
Here is another copy paste of their feedback from these sales.

Not sure what your problem is lmao, there's so many other examples of price jacking below but you seem like you've got a weird white knight crusade boner.

              • -3

@frowny: You're making baseless accusations that effects people's businesses and also you're trying to influence OzBargain readers from buying from a company because you like saying catch cries like "Holy price jacking", you need to be called out on it and to at least supply evidence of your claims. You made 2 specific claims of price jacking (not me) and it's there in print, with links proving that they didn't price jack on either accusation that you made, the first "Sigma 85mm F1.4 for E-Mount" the second item the "Tamron 28-75 G2". I've given links, copy and pastes and stated how you can check the facts for yourself in seconds by checking "completed listings" or search within "sellers feedback". The evidence is in bold print right in front of you. So rather than be happy that there is no price jacking, you instead throw a temper tantrum and name calling. Is the data I've supplied correct? If yes, which you and I both know it is, then maybe you should think before making accusations. BTW I'm not saying that @digidirect has not nor never price jacked, I have no idea. All I did was ask you what your evidence of it was, and the 2 examples you gave, one went up $10 over a year the other down almost $100 over a year and neither product has done a jump in price within the last year!!

                • +2

@PukeyLuke: I literally provided the screenshots of my purchase from last month and the pricejack lmfao

What's the point in arguing with a Heymix defender lol

                  • -2

@frowny: Of your last 10 votes exactly half of them were neg votes, as of 9am this morning I went through the list of Ozbargains
of the first 50 bargains listed not one of them received a single neg vote, with well over 500 positive votes.
You literally hit the neg button at more than 500X the rate of other OzBargainers.
But when I ask for proof of your accusations, you get upset, and start name calling.
When you look at some of your neg/vote comments there full of childish catch cries "Ayyyyy the shoutout. Heymix is garbage lmao" or Holy price jacking:" or Did someone say lightning? in the hope you'll get upvoted rather than explain the reason for your neg vote, which is what you're supposed to do and is stated in the Ozbargain voting guidelines. If everyone behaved like you on Ozbargain and neg voted
every second deal then you would not be able to work out what was a genuinely good deal.
Some of these deals that you neg vote then try to belittle could be small family run businesses.
Do you contact these companies and give them your genuine critical feedback, which could actually help them, No?? I didn't think so!!

You wanted facts that Digidirect are price jacking and you got it, now you've got issues with people negging deals?

                      Pick a slant my dude.

I've interacted with you for half a day and it's been insufferable thank goodness I'm not stuck with you because that'd be suffering

These are there only 2 sales in the past year and as you can see they both sold for $1,689, is there any price jacking here @frowny??
You say I "swerve and raise another issue" but here I am responding to your price jacking accusation directly.
So am I right or are you wrong? It's pretty simple @frowny, I'll even help you to find it, click this link
digidirect advanced search type in "Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens for Sony-E Mount" Remember?
This is the link that you, @frowny raised. Go on, see if I'm wrong.

                        • @PukeyLuke: can you please let it go. price changed Aug 4th (https://www.ebay.com.au/rvh/175359019338?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047…). I have no interest on this lens so i dont know what price was before thy changed the price but if someone said it was lower then i would believe him/her, why would they lie?

You are going to the extreme here, this will be my last reply, not interested in playing your game.

                          • @snvl: @snyl Why would you ask someone to let the truth go an error to continue??
Why would you send a link to something that means nothing?
I'm not accusing @frowny of lying, I'm accusing @frowny of being wrong.
Why, do you think @frowny is lying?
So please tell me is any of the data that I challenged @frowny wrong? If so what?
As far as your " this will be my last reply, not interested in playing your game."
Let the record show that you contacted me first, then you sent me another comment which
I ignored as you offered nothing of substance, you listed 10 items that you thought were
price jacked but did not say what the prices were, so I ignored your comment as irrelevant.
You've contacted me on each occasion, I've only replied to some of your questions, so how am I playing games??
BTW why are you so invested in @frowny feelings, are you in some way connected?

                            • @PukeyLuke: “ Let the record show that you contacted me first, ”

Wrong again, you did both times. So do you want me to list old prices and new prices of each lens? If it up to you or anyone reading to trust my feedback.

Price of those lenses increased you can easily validate it, but again it is up to you.

My neg stand. Last sale was a +, this not so much.

“ Why would you send a link to something that means nothing?” it means the price changed on that days, and before was lower

Anyway spend too munch time on this.

                              • @snvl: @snvl You just went on a whole diatribe about not contacting me anymore, you even said "this will be my last reply"!! Now you're harassing me for more. You're one needy baby greedy baby OzBer.
You better not be a bunny boiler!!

                      • @frowny: @frowny The second and only other price jacking accusation was the Tamron 28-75 G2 that you raised, I again directly addressed it.
It's all just above in very bold print and again I've helped you understand your errors as much as I can by including links, copy and pastes.
If my data was incorrect please tell me what was incorrect? The ball is in your court @frowny, what is incorrect with the data on the Tamron 28-75 G2 that I have supplied? Please don't drift off onto "Raise an issue, get fact checked, swerve and raise another issue."
Instead of spending your time responding to me by complaining, name calling and sulking, why don't you reduce your
keyboard time by responding with facts about the two issues that you @frowny raised.
What is incorrect about the data I've put forward to you? You made the accusations, you were doing the mud slinging,
I only responded with data that shows you're incorrect.

            • @PukeyLuke: prices have been increased from the last 20% sale (a few weeks ago). they didn't increased yesterday but a few days ago (maybe after the last sale finished)

probably 8 of 10 items that i looked were more expensive than last sale.

              • @snvl: @snvl So name the items, lets see if you're right. I won't and can't say you're right or wrong until you put your cards on the table.
BTW I'm not saying @digidirect doesn't price jack but @frowny made claims that they put up the price of 2 items.
I checked it and posted everything I could to show that he was wrong and all he did was get upset, which in truth was quite funny.
Anyhow you've made the effort to message me, you've downvoted the deal, so name a few of the "8 of 10 items"
that you have seen jump in price for no other reason than to be discounted again.
BTW As you have obviously been reading the dialogue between me and @frowny,
could you see any evidence of price jacking on the 2 items that @frowny pointed out,
the "Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens for Sony-E Mount" or the "Tamron 28-75 G2"?
I have no issues with admitting that eBay has allowed price jacking to flourish, but eBay has made efforts to stop this underhanded tactic.
Not because it was the right thing to do but because they were getting such bad publicity for it.

As if you check the seller feedback you'll see that over the last year they have sold this lense for $1,689, only $10 less or well less than 1% of "holy price jacking"!!! You can look for yourself, go to "seller feedback" type in the lense name!!

Struggling to understand their returns policy (online customer service was unhelpful as well). From the item listing:

Can I cancel or return my order/delivery? We begin processing your order as soon as it is placed, once your order progresses it may be too late to cancel. However, once you’ve received your order, you can return your purchase within 14 days, provided your return is in accordance with our returns policy.

Does digiDIRECT have a returns policy? Under Consumer Protection Law, we do not accept returns for "change of mind" or if you order incorrectly. However, damages or faults will be treated on a case-by-case basis. At digiDIRECT, we are committed to providing our customers with the best service and support.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Can someone help me interpret this? Under what circumstances can I return my purchase within 14 days given they've stated change of mind and incorrect orders are not accepted for returns. Are they also suggesting that damages or faults will only be considered within those 14 days? Sounds a bit illegal.

    • Under what circumstances can I return my purchase within 14 days

If it has a minor/major problem.

    • a while ago, i purchased fujifilm XT4 from them. had a bit of problem with it - minor problem. Most the time i have to wait for weeks to receive my order, since not in stock and pandemic shipping problem (from my understanding)

I happen to know internal fujifilm people. And normally, prior returning to fujifilm via the store where i purchased, the store manager always need to get approval from fujifilm.

So I spoke to fujifilm tech, and the Fujifilm area manager & support approve my return. So i bring it to store and explain this to them.

The store manager doesnt even bother to speak further with me, he just asked me to speak to fujifilm people and arrange a replacement. Service is pretty poor.

Wasting my travel time there and i did complaint this to Fujifilm about this, and now i still have this problematic camera with me. I can live with it as i need it is not a major problem, although i can send it to fujifilm to have it service for free (cause I am a fujifilm FPS member)

      :S

      • Did you purchase direct or via Ebay? Sounds like a nightmare to deal with. The price on ebay is good but I shudder at the possibility of having to claim on warranty while in-store staff refuse to serve me because I purchased via Ebay.

    • Weird, I returned a lens last month ( ebay digi ), i stated changed of mind when filled the ebay return process, no issues and was fully refunded

    • Nikon website says "Bonus items must be redeemed before October 31st 2022" so assuming your tax invoice has the purchase date between 25.08.22 and until 07.09.22, you should be able to claim.
I had to chase them up for a tax invoice to claim my lens (up to 28 days for delivery apparently), and it had my correct purchase date of the 30/8//22

      • After several messages they now sent the camera this morning with an invoice dated 8th September, which is one day after the bonus lens offer period ended. Could this be intentional? Does Digidirect have any expenses associated with Nikon's bonus lens offer?

        • Nah nothing to do with that. Ask them to reissue the invoice with the date you paid it

          • @EnergicAU: I asked them to correct the date on the invoice and they gave me this reply: "We apologize for the delay in your order but unfortunately we are unable to make changes to the invoice". I made the purchase and paid for it on 30th August. I am a bit confused.
