  • works on Samsung Galaxy S2?

    • +5

      Not compatible.

The Galaxy S2 uses a Micro USB port, so you need the USB to HDMI MHL adapter.

      • -3

It's micro HDMI to HDMI so why do you need USB to HDMI?

        • +5

because Samsung Galaxy S2 has a MicroUSB port so you will need a USB to HDMI cable.

      • Scrimshaw, as always, you are the Mr.KnowItAll.
Instead of pasting the link, how do we add a hyperlink just as the comment above? is it possible on an ipad? Thanks.

        • I believe this is what you want to know: you use brackets.
Enclose the text with square brackets for your "words" and then followed by the link enclosed in "normal" brackets/parenthesis, e.g. [words](link goes here). For more info you can follow the links - it's a bit wordy but at the bottom of each page before the comment box is a link to the Markdown and Markdown Extra syntax when commenting, I always forget which order the brackets are in so I just search for/click on "Links" in the first Markdown document.

Oh and protip, I find clicking Preview Comment is very useful to make sure it all looks right before posting ;)

          HTH!

      • thanks

  • Good deal, considering shops like JB-Hifi charge around $60 for these things.

  • Can I use it on new ipad?

    • No, the iPad only has a 30-pin connector. You need a 30-pin connector to HDMI.

      • Does anyone know to get a bargain 30-pin connector to HDMI for ipad 1 (not ipad 2 or 3)?

    • gotta hate the proprietaryiness of apple

  • ahhh! crap….

bought a micro hdmi to hdmi adapter for $1.75 couple of days ago
and a hdmi cable today for $2.99 from the previous deal…

    • Did the same so with additional tip, $4.66 converts into a dual-purpose cable.
Probably worth the +50c extra to save storing multiple cables.

  • Got just one cable for $2.49 coz there's no point getting 2 and having excess crap that I'm never gonna use.
Also, it comes up as $3.99 with free shipping for 2, not $4.16?

    • +1

      its $3.99 USD!!!

  • One cable is just $2.49 shipped.

  • Would there be a difference between the one in this deal and this one on eBay? http://bit.ly/Lmzk7g And yes, I am trying to save 30c :)

    • in the end you'll end up paying more as the rate on eBay is not WYSIWYG!
PayPal(an eBay company) will charge at higher rate so you'll lose more

I think ACCC & Fair Trading should look into these rates!

      • Paypal charge for currency conversion, so the most this should be is around $2.25.
