Yeah, if its meant to be a fancy sparkling water, it needs to be French, Italian or something exotic. Mineral sparkling water from NZ just doesn't cut it.

Where to start. Duh. Human beings, like all animals, require water for maintaining their biological systems and have done for millennia. I get mine from the tap.
Think of the carbon emissions and resources (glass, lid, production, packaging, etc) that have gone into making and transporting this stupid product.
Realistically; if you like sparkling water, 12 glass bottles with metal lids for $20 isn't the worst deal.
I think they're quite aesthetically pleasing to keep in the fridge for refilling.

voss bottles are better for re-use if you can deal with the plastic lids as they have a bigger opening.
