  • Any stand out deals bargainers?

    • +24

This looks pretty good to me if you need some outdoor support

  • Funny, it was 17% yesterday

    • Shopback

      • Ah all good, similar enough deals ;)

  • Are kitchen appliances considered electronics?

    • Want to know this too?

    • +4

General rule of thumb with these Myer cashbacks is if you want it then it will be the lower cashback
In all seriousness though they are considered electronics

'Entertainment & Electronics' category includes all electronics & electrical appliances on Myer's website.

This has been brought up in past cashback deals and yeah any kitchen appliances are considered part of electronics.

  • Is $10 e-voucher on $100 spend sent to Myer One members stackable to get cash back?

    • +4

      No.

The $10 e-Voucher is actually a $10 Myer One gift card, and Myer’s terms and conditions for cashback state that the redemption of any Myer or Coles Group & Myer gift cards will invalidate all cashback.

Someone redeemed their $10 gift card yesterday via Shopback and Shopback tracked the purchase at $0 cashback, so I would expect Cashrewards to do the same thing too.

Noticed the they have been adding Hermes and Aesop to the exclusion list lately.

    • +2

Aesop has been excluded from every retailer now except maybe The Iconic.

      Boooo

  • What is the cash back rate increasing to for "Home" category?

  • I've had no interest in it prior to a couple of weeks ago when my wife mentioned the product, but why is Dior excluded?

    • The margins must be lower on those products

      • +6

Or the brands don’t allow discounting.

        • That’d be resale price maintenance and illegal in Australia - https://www.accc.gov.au/business/anti-competitive-behaviour/…

          • @kipps: Doesn't have to be.
Discounts in retail are mostly supported by discounts from the supplier/wholesaler in the form of cashback.

When Playstation games go on sale for $30 off, JB etc aren't making $30 profit normally and aren't losing $30 in this sale. The wholesaler is giving them some of it as cashback or credit against future orders. Some suppliers don't offer those, so there's no value in discounting it.

Nintendo famously doesn't do it for their first party games, so they simply don't go on sale most of the time.
They're not STOPPING people discounting it. But the retailer needs to choose to lose money to do so.

            • @timps: “The brands don’t allow discounting” is the comment I responded to. That’s STOPPING discounting.

  • Does Cashback track for purchases from Marketplace partners?

    • +1

I've just put a purchase through for a bag with a Marketplace partner and received an email that it tracked.

      Hope this is helpful

  • If MYER sends a faulty item and replaced it with a working one, does that nullify the cash back?

    • I think if stay with the same transaction/invoice should be fine.

      • Thanks for the reply, appreciated:)

    • Make sure they are just exchanging the item. If they ask you for the receipt, they may refund the original purchase and "sell" you a new one at the original price. Which nullifies the cash back. I've had that happen to me, buying a mobile phone at Target.

If you want to be sure, talk through what you want to do with the Myer staff, and check you can get a refund on the faulty item. If so, purchase a second item, and return the first (faulty) item with the second receipt. The cashback on the first receipt will be unaffected.

      • Thanks for the reply, appreciated:)

      • Good idea, they always ask for the receipt and process it even if just swapping a size so hard to know if that affects it.

  • Garmin Fenix 6 pro for $574 with 20% cashback on top is worthy of a mention.

    • does it come under 'electronics' though?

    • +1

      Isn’t it 10% for electronics?

      • It comes up in the gifts - health and wellness category not electronics.

  • My Clinique is running low and was hoping something like this would pop up

  • The Philips air fryer seems like a good deal. Discounted + $100 supplier cash back + 10% CR

  • What category does a bed mattress come under for cashback?

    • +5

      For some people, it's "Entertainment"

  • Don’t know why in my head I kept thinking it was 40% cash back the entire time browsing. I guess lucky for me I emptied about $600 worth of stuff in the cart and just got one thing for myself.

    Thanks OP. I think :)

  • Thanks OP, got one!

Using the Cash Rewards App on iOS have had both a First Choice offer and now this Myer offer have both not tracked, and no ability to send a claim. You would imagine using their App would be full proof. Waste of time.

    • My Myer purchase tracked fine in the CR App. Were you on mobile data? How did you pay?

  • Quick! What to buy?

  • Bought some charcoal but only tracked at 10% :(
