  • Anyone dealt with DealFox? comments?
This seems like one of those "too good to be true" deals, so I need a little encouragement on DealFox and the Kogan TV on offer.

    • +4

Dealfox are great James, I've bought off them a few times…really good to deal with & fast shipping! :)

      • thanks mate. done deal.

      • And whats the TV like?

        • +2

Sorry, that's a different question…I can only handle one per day! ;)

    • +6

they sold cheap Beats by Dr Dre headphones for cheap, claimed it was genuine and then turns out it was fake…. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/66677

hopefully this isn't a counterfeit Kogan tv? lol

      • +2

How much more counterfeit can you get than Kogan themselves! :p

    • +1

I've bought quite a few of their deals a while back when they were starting up & very happy.
Found most of the later deals no where near as good (bargain-wise).
(Don't know much about Kogan, so can't comment on this deal)

  • +3
    • whats the referal code for?

        • +2

Sorry dude, I ordered too fast otherwise I would have been happy to put in your referral code!

@Jason, is there a way to apply this retrospectively if I email the code & my order number to you guys?

I don't see the reason for all of the negs here guys, the OP posts a great deal & all he wants in return is a few Dealfox points from a referral…no skin off my nose, shouldn't be off anyone else's either!!!

    • +1

      what do you get?

      • only the OP benefits from using the referral code

    • +1

      why?

    • +2

Theres a right way of asking, and a wrong way.

      • or u can just be a little less uptight?

    • if you were honest and put the link without referral, and put the referral link in the description, and then ask the ozbargain community to kindly click the referral link instead, they will be happy to do it for you.

Wish I was on the market, tempted to buy just 'cause!

KOGAN TV’s CHEAPER THAN KOGAN RIGHT HERE ON DEALFOX!

yeah, but it's still kogan …

  • Anyone notice there is NO mention of warranty?

    • First thing i searched dealfox's page for, absolutely no mention. Beware.

edit: CNET article states "with a standard warranty"

      • +1

For what. Dealfox is an Australian company and they must provide a warranty.

    • Yeah, can rep clarify this…

Also, is there option to upgrade warranty as per Kogan?

While you're at it, these aren't refurbs are they? It's a low price so just checking…

      • Come with full Kogan warranty and they are brand new

        • So what's the catch?

        • only 5!?

  • +1

The product "Kogan CHEAPER than Kogan! Today only this 42inch Full HD LED TV with PVR JUST $299 + FREE SHIPPING!! IN STOCK!" cannot be added to cart.

    Warranty?

Also why do u have this "ASUS CP6130-30 Desktop PC" advert as $249.95 on the side deals and then when clicked it says $549.95 ?? That is $300 difference….seems SHONKY…fix it or edit it

    • +2

Add to cart and you will see the reduced price. Sorry, just a litle bug in our system.

      • Here's the specs for those playing along at home:

I came home from work to find my shipping notice for both…you guys are on fire today Jason! :)

      • Jason - Asus are sold out
        Any chance of more?
These are begging to replace my Home Theater PC

  • +1

Could these be refurbished units ? Like units returned with dead pixels etc. I wonder if the warranty will be handled by Dealfox or Kogan. Does not say whether the warranty is on-site. This could be a big problem if you have warranty claims.

    • Warranty would be handled by Kogan and these TVs are brand new.

      • Hi Jason, is it on-site warranty or do we have to ship them to kogan for repairs.

  • Dealfox are great - I've dealt with them before.
Really fast and the items are actually legit - not dodgy rip-offs for a change!!
Will definitely be buying one! :)

  • Just rang, standard 12 month Kogan warranty.

  • Hi OP, Deal URL has been edited to remove referral info, original link has been added to description of the deal. Please see our deal posting guidelines for more information.

  • I just bought using Citibank visa for extra warranty. Its sounds just what I've been looking for to put in the rumpus room. I've bought much smaller stuff from DealFox before and have been quite happy with them.

  • oh my… sold out already lol

  • gone!

  • sold out alreadY?

    • must have only had a couple in stock

  • Just got one, been looking for a 32incher for my room, but for the price, couldnt go past this deal!
    Thanks for posting

    Other Features of Kogan TVs:

    1. Remote interference. Kogan remote can also control your made in China DVD players, some settop boxes, karaoke machines etc…. Your device remotes may also interfere the TV (e.g. fast forward could change the volume of the TV).
    2. Below par firmware. No 1:1 pixel mapping. Inputs from computer, laptop, iPads, Android tablets, iPhones, Android phones often do not scale properly (bits get chopped off, blurry, motion jitter)
    3. Sub-par 1080p Auto mode. If your blu-ray player uses 1080p auto (which 99% of them do by default), the TV probably will choose 1080p@60fps - but that mode isn't implemented properly on most Kogan TVs. You need to manually set it to 1080p@50fps on the blu-ray player (assuming it lets you).
    4. The panel has clearly visible colour shift (bad quality basically)
    5. The TV makes click click like noise.

In short, you get what you paid for. DealFox might be good… but Kogan TVs on the other hand…..

    • +1

That bad, aye….. Thanks for the heads up…..

  • +2

    FYI - Kogan TVs don't have 1:1 pixel mapping… http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/71318

    • That's just one of the issues in the long list of Kogan TV problems. See my post above.

      • Yeah…I think we typed our posts at the same time. :)

  • Would love to know how many people got the deal… I was quickish there but it was sold out already…

  • +1

    Not impressed with DealFox.
I signed up with them today but TV would not get added to the checkout.
Phoned them about the problem given some excuse and said they could phone back. Within a minute of cal it goes to sold out. I dont think I will try to buy anything off them again - waste of time.

    • +1

Sorry to hear about your difficulty adding the product to cart. We had a lot of traffic when picked up by media. Will be reviewing our systems to see what may have happened in your case.

  • +1

I was so close to buying one, but the power usage 180W!!! That is even more than my Sharp 42" FHD LCD. =O

    • +3

Your Sharp 42" is way way better than Kogan junk TVs. I own one (regret buying it from the day I received it). Don't buy Kogan TVs.

  • It should be mentioned that this TV only features a 50Hz refresh rate. Still, the price and free shipping is compelling.

  • why dont any of the side deal links work?

  • +3

    @JASON

Is it possible for you to source more TV's for another sale :)

    • +2

Yes, missed the deal due to work. Would definitely buy one.

    • I also missed out due to being at school! Can't believe I missed it, was waiting for a deal like this on a Kogan TV for ages!
      Please get more stock!!!!! :)

  • -1

you get what you pay for i guess

  • +1

    • :)

  • damn kogan only let dealfox sells 5

  • +1

Kogan…hope everyone enjoys their new 20kg heap of dog turd…

  • Dealfox - yes, Kogan - no, hell NO, hell bloody NO!!

  • @Jason : Can you do a similar deal for a 32 inch FHD LED of a decent brand?

  • Anyone get their TV yet?

    • +3

Yep, got mine yesterday and am pretty happy with it. BTW: here is the link to the manual (it took me a while to find it because the main Kogan manual page doesn't seem to work. It's under the legacy manuals section.)
      http://cdn.kogan.com.au/uploads/manuals/kogan-kaled42xxxza.p…

      • Mine turned up on Friday but I was too busy to play with it until the rain shut us in for the weekend giving me time to open it. I'm quite impressed TBH, the image quality is surprisingly nice! :)

The only disappointment is that the inbuilt media player doesn't seem to like the ac3 audio on some mkv files, so whilst they play fine there is no audio for multichannel soundtracks, stereo tracks if present work fine. That's it…early days yet but big thumbs up so far! ;)

  • Good to hear guy and thanks for the manual ufohunter
Mine hasnt arrived yet, according to toll they made an attempt to deliver it on thurs but 'were unable to access the property', which after speaking to them could be a number of things :-/
Hoping they will be delivering it tomorrow, otherwise will need to chase it up further
