Trident Manual Lawn Corer/Aerator $131.85 + Delivery ($0 Perth C&C) @ Trident Lawnmowers

100

Been looking for a decent manual aerator corer. Tested this one out and found it to be comfortable and works well, especially compared to the crap ones sold at bunnings.

The Trident is a manual lawn corer/aerator, which has 3 coring tines

The coring tines remove plugs up to 126mm long and is available in 12.7mm (1/2"). To increase air and water flow to the roots of the turf and soil, plus reduce compaction.

This vs. you and two neighbours hiring a petrol lawn aerator/corer once a year?

Three at a time looks painfully slow.

    • Unfortunately my neighbours don't care much for their lawns.
I was going to get the four trine corer but went with the 3 because it felt much easier to work with, plus my lawn isn't that big at the front or back. If I pace myself I recon it would only take an hour to do the front and another hour for the back

Unless it has side eject tines don't even bother. You'll use it once, it'll get clogged half way through and you'll never use it again.

      • This. I have the standard Cyclone aerator and need a bucket of water and an old screwdriver to de-plug the tines every 10 plugs or so … it's a pretty arduous process that really blows out the total work time to literally hours.

      • thanks for the tip!

      • i've got an old cyclone one. you just need to use it when the soil has just the right amount of moisture. i'm not sure but the trident one looks heavy to use

        • it would also depend on your soil type.. you got sandy loam you are home, you got clay you in for a very long day!!

        Underappreciated post.

    • i don't think forks aerate the soil. you are just punching holes into an already compacted soil. you need to pull out plugs so the soil can expand

Will Amber Heard be in this one?

  • Nice find. I bought their version that has 4 coring tines, which is also currently discounted on their website. Should make the job 25% faster.

  • Thanks, my husband asked me to get this one a while back but it's so far away, least it lessens postage a bit

$200 to have all my lawns done every few years by a pro with a machine. Money way better spent!

  • Fully welded tines is a pain if you break them, they get blunt, you want to swap too solids.

Bought this, solid unit, grub screws hold in the tines. Can buy replacement tines.

@Lawn Addicts 4 core with side eject cores, and solid tines. Different sizes depending on your turf. $209.
