Isn’t there a really acceptable and inexpensive USB-C powered iron that even lets you put custom firmware on it? I wonder how that one stacks up against this.
Yea Pinecil by Pine it supports USC quick charge and PD upto 60 watts I think. It's a direct heat iron basically a TS100 and TS80 mixed.
Wtf?!! This exists???
Awesome! Can’t seem to find any other source other than Ali though…
It's not in stock but put your name down and you will get a notification when they come back in stock, I done the same to get mine. It should cost about $50 shipped which is cheaper than a TS100.

@aussieprepper: How did you get on the wait list? I can't seem to find it. This looks amazing!
@Soapdroid: Yep, can't find any registration or sign up page.
The tips look pretty specific. That said, I have a Scope soldering iron for more than could it be 20 years with the original tip with very good usage. Still the go to iron.
A few years ago I have got a soldering iron with the Hakko type tips, they are very cheap and available. With "micro" soldering these days, the finer tips make it easier to do.Not worth it for a non direct heat iron. Get a TS100 or Pinecil.
