Good question, but will come down to margin. Regular profit margin when selling this at full price must be good enough to cover the risk of a small quantity of these getting close to use by date and being discounted.

The curve seems to be to give better protection, not for curved screen.
I think it means it curves a little at the edges to extend the coverage. Flat ones leave a bit uncovered at the edges.
Also snags less when you put/pull phones from pockets/bags.

One of the reviews claims they are not "bone conduction" but just speakers that are directed into your ears:

Has anyone had experience with these and are they really "bone conduction"?
There was a similar looking product posted on here recently that was called "air conduction"
that was the other pair I bought this week - the sound was quite amazing given they just sit in front of your ear on the cheek. quite much better than most of my other 'in ear' style buds which I sometimes have to shove right in to get that full sound. At these prices I figure I can have a try at some styles/tech that I normally wouldn't buy
If no good just return it, also ordered one to try.

Received it today, I think it is "bone conduction", the same feeling I tried shokz at JB, I can feel bone vibrate, covered my ear I can still hear it, not bad for $17.
I think bone conduction, didn't mean you won't hear any sound coming out from the earphone itself.

How do they have stock that old
I'm wary of buying any near expiry drinks in plastic from Amazon. Pretty much every time I have they were flat already (on the plus side they've always refunded so nothing to lose)
Cans or glass have been ok.
@bamzero: All the Schweppes stuff I have bought recently have been good (tonic water, raspberry and ginger ale)
The main bottle ive really had issue with is the san pellegrino which is either flat or close to it.
Agree, cans are usually good except when they are packed in an oversized box.
The kirks 20 packs are the worse offenders. 3 orders, and each one cans have been lost.
6 cans exploded on my last order and before that the last 2 orders had 3 cans explode on each.
How many were available out of interest, didn't hit the grocers telegram.
