Credit dealbot for the tip.

[Edit 10:45am: I cannot find an "eligible" item as example. Have contacted eBay to convince them that the code does not work on anything, finally they said they will escalate to their technical team. Stay tuned.]
[Edit 11:45am: Confirm code is working, thanks dealbot for example, seems less "eligible" stores this time.]

    Which items are eligible?

    • +6

      Yes.

      • +13

        More like no

I found an eligible item for you: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/185504609390

Don't know why they went to the effort of listing it for sale, they're never gonna give it up.

    • Time to consult the oracle,… or just click 'go to deal'?

      • If you had clicked “go to deal” you would have found it leads to the T&C’s page, lol

    • “Eligible Items” means items listed on eBay.com.au where a link to these terms and conditions and the coupon redemption code PAUG10 (for non-members) or PAUG12 (for Plus members) is found in the item listing

      • Thank you, that clears it up.

They should really make eBay Plus member discounts 15% (5% more than non-members) if they want people to continue renewing their Plus membership every year. 2% extra isn't enough IMO

    • +2

I only renewed my ebay plus membership bc they paid me $21 dollars to do it. (I spend $$ on not very necessary things but anyway)

    • +1

yeah, even now that you only get a $20 coupon when signing up. Will wait until the bring back the $49 before even thinking about renewing.

      • They did. $50 coupon + the $20 coupon.

        • i think that was right before my membership expired. Guess i'll have to wait until it shows up again!

    • there is no different, ebay sellers raise their price 20% or more during the event and ebay earns more seller sold fee since seller raise their sold price… it is win-win event for sellers and ebay. This discount may attract more buyers to buy what they don't need and buyers pay more.

I can’t seem to get the promo codes to work even if it’s the same sellers from the July promo

      • I’m wondering if it’s even active yet
So far nobody has found an eligible item

      • +2

Same here, I am on Chat with eBay for the last 15 minutes to find out, they keep regurgitate the T&Cs like I am a newbie…

        • +4

I sincerely think the average ozbargainer knows more than the average eBay chat support rep

          • +1

@FireRunner: I have to explain several times I know how it work etc… finally they said they need more time to look into it.

Thank you for waiting patiently, I appreciate the time you have given me to look into your concern. I have checked the issue from my side, here I would need to escalate the issue to our technical team, I will get back to you via email once I get an update regarding the same. Will that be fine?

eBay need to give sellers time to jack the prices first.

        • Show them your OZB tattoo.

          • @The Value: LOL. Surely they would have seen my account being active for many years and history of almost all purchases using discount vouchers… I should have honour badges next to my name like in OzB ;-)

  • I'm just glad we are not longer ebay Bot anymore…

    PAUG is my favourite genre.

    • I also am a fan of the Uzbekistanis..

  • The s7 maxv dock was eligible. Cheers!

    Still can’t find eligible items

    What is this garbage?

EBay needs to hire some competent IT people rather than any old streetwalker

    • How are they trying to get people to buy when you can't even find the deals?

    • +1

Just search for the item you want, and the 10% coupon-applicables are clearly marked - sort by Price Including Postage and you can easily see the best price with or without coupon :

      ie https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=W2008EU1N&…

For that particular item, there is one seller offering the 10% code and they are indeed the cheapest for the NEW condition.

If none of the results for your chosen object state "10% off with coupon. Max $300 off" then there's no seller offering the 10% code for that particular thing.
