Can you still thrust tho? That’s the important thing
Just resorted to other stuff like dress ups. Ironically when I dress up as a pilot she calls me first

My wife asked for an open relationship. I got her boyfriend into basketball and we recently won the local comp.
Or was it your friend's nickname for your right hand?
Nice find!

I so desperately want to get into MS Flight Sim. My 3090 PC can handle it. I’m concerned I will get bored quickly.
If you haven't played it at all, Try it out on game pass and use an Xbox controller. it works surprisingly well with just a regular controller using the joysticks.
Thanks! I’ll try that first before forking over more cash.
The latest beta has DLSS support, you'll be pleased to know.
You do have to "choose your own adventure" a bit, or you can get bored quickly, even with the world at your fingertips. Go figure.
The A32NX is an incredible, free model of the A320 airliner that's got a lot of systems to dive into if you want to go that way, right up to full auto-landing autopilot. But you'll need to study how to even turn it on.
Or you can team up with people and land bush planes on gravel islands all of 10m long.
Land a air-boat and putt around monaco. Etc etc.
Once (and if) you get bored, you can graduate to DCS where it certainly never gets boring.
Eagle one!
Fox Two?
Pleasing Fungus Beetle three?
Is that your new pet name?
Viper one inbound.
Oh shit it's viper!

If you've got the need for speed in the Economy seat
wish this worked with Xbox Series X
Same. Kinda ridiculous that it doesn't.
Cute. Time to ascend?
Lol
Kind of ridiculous that not every flight joystick was designed with console gaming in mind isn't it. That it was designed for PC gaming only. Ridiculous that not every gaming revolves around game consoles. Or maybe it should be obvious that console gamers aren't their target customer. Would console gamers even be prepared to shell on a flight joystick set worth an RRP of $350. Hard core PC gamers on the other hand would happily pay this for a good flight gaming experience on their high end gaming PC.
Plus i can't see the flight thrust levers being too easy to use while sitting on a lounge chair while console gaming while also holding onto the flight joystick at the same time. It just isn't a flat and steady surface to do so unlike on a computer table.
Meh, whatever. Not interested in console vs PC nerd contest. Controllers work on either platform, why not this too. Simple observation.
FWIW I don’t play. My kids do. One plays FS on PC, one plays on XBSX. Be nice if they both could use joysticks instead of only PC
@LoftyAu: It's more of a platform issue than a device issue. Controllers work on both because support, i.e drivers, have been provided for PC and they're inherently supported by their console.
No one but Microsoft and Sony can build drivers for their respective consoles, so unless they want to support a particular device you're out of luck.@schquid: I understand, that was my point. Seems mostly a driver/software issue.
@LoftyAu: It's all about the dollars. I'm glad they don't work on console or PC players would have to fork out extra money to console manufacterers to plaster their trademarked buttons on it or whatever crap they use to justify the price hike.
Look at the G27 -> G29 transition, essentially the same device (well worse given they removed the shifter) and it doubled in price for "console support".
It's about commision cash. The consoles won't allow it to interface without them getting a fat cut, so the manufacturers won't make the commitment.
Thrustmaster does have the drivers for their TFlight stick, but the licensing fees stop them from enabling it on any of their other sticks. There are third party devices which translate the protocol to match the one HOTAS which is supported which fools the XBox into letting other HOTAS work fine.

Been called that a few times in my prime days
Are you more of an ebay plus kind of guy now?
He’s giving off Onepass kinda vibes tbh
Lol, nice.
Anyone been able to calibrate the throttle quadrant in fenix a320 or fbw a321?
Does this help? https://youtu.be/X77v-7qx4gU
That actually looks promising. The throttle cam is a huge help. Thank you
For everything else, put the quadrant at idle, set the neutral slider in settings so that it lines up with the middle line on the chart, remove the curves that FS adds to the axes and you’re good to go.
This quadrant works well enough with DCS too
Or you can just get the flightstick part for $70.55
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174653873881It has a small throttle lever at the bottom of the stick already.
I recommended this. The throttle is nice but adds very little and I often just use the joystick. The joystick itself is brilliant and makes landing under crosswinds so much easier.
Depends what you are flying, for anything precise (e.g. helicopters) the joystick is hot garbage with that spring arrangement. It can be fixed for a price though since the sensor is great.
Lol. My wife's pet name for me 20 years ago. Now my back is not so good.
