Do you need some gym shoes you might use one day to complement your gym membership that you might use one day. Go on, feel good about yourself.
I fixed the landing page, its less confusing now, forgive me.

I agree with you but the fact is most people don't care, and will wear runners to the gym and even on a tennis court
y?
What's considered to be an ideal gym shoe?
Chuck Taylor's or similar flat sole shoe (imo)
I don't believe the OP said they were 'ideal' gym shoes - merely shoes suitable for the gym.
Yeah cause your bench is going to be that much better in an ideal gym shoe than this. Unless you're pushing some major weight on your squats/deadlifts etc - thats absolute fluff.
It's a good deal on whats a very underrated brand of shoes and I think this from is towards the top of their range - much better than equivalent priced Nike/NB/Adidas/Puma.
You're the one saying they're 'not ideal' gym shoes.
I'm sorry but you remind me of the 'new' gym users who can't possibly lift on certain days as they don't have their correct compression shirt or haven't had their pre-workout L-glutamine shake etc. Always excuses.
These are perfectly fine shoes to wear to the gym for 95%+ - if you're doing some incredibly specialised stuff - sure maybe not 'ideal' but thats not the deal.
Your point is nonsense and I've seen countless elite athletes squat and deadlift in joggers when I was at the AIS. Sorry they don't cut the mustard for your lofty standards.
@Daniel Plainview: I didnt put any thought into the blurb, it was just a joke.
Maybe I should have put, buy if you need a pair of fashionable shoes to wear with your jeans to display your bogan pride.
@Daniel Plainview: Yeah ok mate, you're obviously a seasoned pro… and you must know all about me…
Come up normal price for me am i missing something
Only a few sizes
Price only seems to be applicable for 2 styles Black/Gum and/or Triple Black
I realise that these are running shoes but is anyone able to tell me if they are a decent (even if not ideal) option for working on my feet in a retail environment?
Running shoes are generally make for good walking shoes in my experience. The foam inside them are designed to take a beating so they should be okay. It’s Amazon as well so if you don’t like it returns should be easy
People really should go to the athletes foot and get their feet properly measured up.
I didn't even know I needed 4E (wide) shoes or that I had very very flat feet until my 30s
It's worth finding out, so you know what shoes work and what don't.
I'll never buy a regular width shoe again, it's misery for me, or one without arch support.
EXACTLY THIS, i went to the athletes foot and was given this and was wondering why I was getting some no brand garbage recommended to me for $220?
Most comfortable shoe I ever had, it turns out your toes are not supposed to feel squashed in a shoe, it's not normal.
I'll always look out for wide Saucony sneakers from now on.
I actually have no idea if Saucony is any good, but now that I know what I do. I have no brand loyalty.
I'll just go wherever professionals tell me or what the internet tells me, suits my feet style. As long as it's a person who understands what my needs are.
I hear that Brookes offers some good but expensive arch shoes. Asics the same but not super comfy. New balance make some as well.
If the company doesn't offer 2E and 4E options they aren't a shoe company, they're a style company, posing.
Funnily enough. I had just got back from Athlete's foot when this deal was posted.
I left empty handed because they simply don't have any stock in my size (usually 10, occasionally 10.5) in the 5 different shoes that would of suited my purpose and even borderline suit my foot. I have narrow feet (particularly the heel) and i have orthotics for heavy pronation. The closest I had to suitable was a pair of Brooks Addiction walker in 2e for $250 even though they were a bit wide and my big toe was just touching the end.
So, I figured I get some make do shoes that are much cheaper.
Thanks OP, been looking for a running shoe to alternate with my Nimbus on my short run days. From the quick look I had it seems to be on par so figured I try a pair
You've got the Nimbus 2000?!
Ugraded. The newes model is Nimbus 2022!
FWIW the last pair of Saucony's I had (older model of The Ride) were superb. Bought high end Puma's and Nike's after and the Saucony's outlasted them and were far more comfortable - felt like a high quality athletic shoe rather than a fashion shoe that was somewhat athletic.
I like that these are understated as well - I know some folks love them some fluoro so thats a personal preference. I don't think this is a crazy great buy but it's quite solid IMHO and not a shoe you're going to get and regret.
Agreed, they're wide support and the fabric build don't fray and allows tons of toe wiggling movement to adjust for comfort but keeps the back end on fit and snug
How many km did the shoe survive until it's tossed out?
900km running and another 300km walking.
What! that's more than an average pair
Thanks leodeath. Got some Ride 14's for $79. Currently running in Ride 10's
.
good deal. i'm more of a kayano person but saucony's a good brand
For real though how are these shoes?
I actually recognised them because they’re recommended on the FAQ at Running Shoe Geeks subreddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/RunningShoeGeeks/wiki/index?utm_sou…
I got Rebok Floatride instead, but still come recommended. Unbeatable price at $89… I still paid $170 for Reboks
Thanks OP - have the Triumph 18 and there great so grabbed a pair of Triumph 19 , will see how they go.
Great deal for a cushioned daily training/ slow long run. I just got a pair of pegasus from iconic otherwise would have got a pair
Damn only Size 10-11, too small for me :(
If they're anything like the Triumph 18, then I expect them to be pretty good.
Well cushioned and great for everyday (shorter 5-10km) runs.
Thanks OP.
And a bonus 7.5% cashback from Shopback until midnight.
Bought Triumph 17 for $79 from Amazon in 2020. They are the best shoes I have ever used in my life.
So bought two all black now. Wish it was the golden yellow colour. Ran in them for 900KM and now use them for fast walking. Plenty of grip for another 200-300KM. For me the worst shoes for running is Adidas UB20.
Shoes that I have used in order of preference Saucony Triumph 17 (1100km) > Asics Nimbus 19 > New Balance 1080 v10 > UA bluetooth > Adidas UB20.
Hey mate, how's the sizing run for saucony? I'm a US10 in Adidas, reckon that'd be a US10 in saucony? Cheers
I wear 10.5 Saucony but 11 in Adidas. Adidas is a narrow shoe while Saucony is wider.
This is encouraging to see after buying these on a punt as Nimbus is my go to (currently on a 23) and I concur on the UB thing. I bought the latter for short run days. They are honestly terrible for anything other than walking.
How long do you generally run for at a time? I replace my runners after about 1000km but they’re usually okay for more. The
I use them for running up to 900km or when the knees hurt. Then covert them to walking shoes.
They are very good but was underwhelmed by all black. They are not as good looking as the all back Nimbus.
Forgot to include Nike Goretek trail show which I use to run on grass fields when its wet.
Cool, thanks. I received mine today and I like what I’ve had when I’ve put them on and moved around the house.
I break my runs up into 10km and then 1-2km over a six day cycle. I wanted them for the 1-2 days but from what you’ve compared them to it seems like you could easily use them on the longer days. And how you rate both the Nimbus and UB is also a really good bar for what you think is good/crap for comparison purposes.
Colours are an okay thing for me. All black shoes are not my preference so that’s okay. I got the black shoe and white mid sole. Thanks heaps for the feedback!
Thanks I bought some ride 14, my asic Kayano 21s are well past it.
Hopefully these are a good replacement
Saucony focusses on ankle support eg, Extra cushioning around the ankle. Seen them in outlets for $40 - 60 (a while back).
I got the ride 14's with promo code 1STORDER for $63.20 delivered.

Just an update on my earlier post, I went to their website, as I suspected, these shoes are "normal" as soon as you look up arch support the price goes way up, those aren't on sale.
I think the model was omni.
These might be great, but I recommend you know what you need in a shoe, before buying a shoe randomly.
Saucony shoes were highly recommended to me, but I was always reluctant to try them since I had decent sneakers already.
Thank you for the deal, OP! Ordered 2 pairs.
Thanks heaps OP, have wanted to try these out after being so highly recommended on r/runningshoegeeks. $71 for a shoe this new is a bargain you don't see too often in Aus! I'm not a Saucony loyalist, but I have do have two different shoes from them already (Speed 2 and Shift 2) and enjoy them both. This one will fit nicely in my rotation I think :)
Just received my new All Black Saucony Men's Triumph 19 Running Shoes, very happy with the purchase . ):
Link doesn't work anymore?
Mine arrived today and fit perfectly with my orthotics. Can’t wait to go for a run tomorrow in them!
Got the 14s today. It was a joy to run in them.
If anyone has a black /black 10.5 they dont want anymore im keen
Not an ideal shoe for the gym at all
