Just a note for any new cricut users. There are so many cricut compatible products on amazon (Replacement blades, mats etc) which are better than cricut brand and way cheaper.
    Happy Making.

  • Just make sure to note this isn't the latest model, Cricut Maker 3. As above 3rd party cheaper items are available, like transfer tape/paper, accessory bundles, etc.

    • Looks like a great starting point none the less?

    • I believe the difference is the ability to use their smart materials, which obviously means you need to stick with Cricut branded material.

I personally use Oracal 651 vinyl as an example since it's cheaper.

      • I found the smart material a lot harder to transfer

What model is this actually then?

      • This is the Maker

  • We used to have a Cricut then moved to Cameo. Which is a far superior machine and software in every way.

  • We bought this a week ago and we were wondering what model this is? We can't find on Cricut's website and Google for some reason.

  • Also thanks OP! I bought one in store last week for 550. Bought this one online and will return the other instore!

    • No need to repurchase … just go to the service counter and they'll refund you the difference. At least, that's what they did for me for a different item that reduced in price a month after I purchased it.

      • Had a chat on their rep on their website. They said to just buy a new one and return the old one.

I have an original never been done before idea, …. wait for it… personalised drink bottles

  • using clear contact paper as transfer paper working great for me with vinyl, don't have to buy 'transfer tape'

I'm sure any other brand would be similar

  • I can’t believe how many people have one.. I’m just curious what everyone uses it for? Besides labeling drink bottles and containers?

    • Custom decals on toolboxes, bikes etc
      Kid craft
      Cards

    • I put sayings on t shirts using heat transfer vinyl :)
