Can someone comment how is this game on NS?

how is this game on NS?

      • Some games like FIFA is terrible.

I played this on the Switch. Runs great. I only played in handheld mode.

      • Run the same as PS4/PS5

    • +4

Have played through several times on Switch, runs just fine for me, awesome game

    • +1

Runs perfectly on handheld and docked

    • +1

It’s so good even though I have the physical cart I’ll buy the digital version now for convenience.

    • +1

      Runs perfectly.

Be sure to get the DLC, too, it's amazing. This game ruined nearly all other beat'em ups for me. Shredder's Revenge felt so incredibly shallow in comparison.

    • +5

Totally agree, yet it feels like reviews etc favour Shredder's Revenge.

      • +2

There's something suspicious about this to me. TMNT is clearly inferior in every single way any yet reviewers all rave about it and fail to mention SOR being a superior game from the same developer. The graphics are like night and day, TMNT just looks barely better than a game from the 90s when SOR pushes new boundaries in 2D graphics. The dynamic lighting alone in SOR is amazing

    • +2

Same. Was incredibly excited for TMNT but it doesn't hold a candle to sor.

It's just nowhere on the eshop for me, doing a bit of googling this seems to have been a common issue at some point (https://www.thegamer.com/switch-problems-mr-x-nightmare-sor4…), I guess they forgot Australia existed and didn't bother to fix it on our end?

Edit: found a workaround, you'll want to first buy the game and download it, and then from there boot up the game and click on "mr. X nightmare" in the main menu which will prompt you to open the eshop to buy it, which will actually take you to the eshop page for the DLC where you can buy it.

      • +1

I remember having issues with that when it first came out, crazy that it hasn't been fixed yet.

  • +1

Is the dlc on special too?

  • I’m so angry!

  • Thanks OP, I missed out on this while it was Game Pass. (Yes, I know it was there for a while).

    • Not there any more? Checked. Yep gone! Man I wish you could see in the game list what has been removed.

      • I know it does say what games are leaving soon, and I remember seeing it thinking I needed to get to it quick.

  • +1

    Downloading.. looks good to play

    • +1

In my personal opinion, no. I loved final fight as a kid, playing this now kinda has destroyed the memory of it. Better off getting SOR4 and playing that. Far superior.

      • -1

I don't remember guy in final fight per the screenshot. Thought it was just Cody and hagger. This must be an arcade rehash instead of the SNES one.

Good times with final fight back in 90s though.

        • Why on earth would they rehash the inferior SNES version and not emulate the arcade version?

          • +1

@FabMan: Certainly a question for the ages. Who am i, a mere man, to consider the ramifications of such musings.

    • It is only if you have nostalgia towards the games. If you never play them before. I would say no.

    • Depends why you want it. I bought it to play with kids and they had an absolute blast. If playing yourself or other adults, probably not.
If you want another great beathemup, I highly recommend FightnRage which was $13.50 when discounted. Game has multiple paths and endings, a great combo system and good unlockables. Personally rank it up there with SOR4 especially since I felt SOR4 is only fun with DLC

  • +1

Definitely worth getting on Switch especially if you've got an OLED model, and it's the sort of game where you'll see no concessions playing it on a Switch, which is probably to be expected seeing as it's a 2D sidescroller beat 'em up.

  • +1

Great game, any age can pick up the controls. Love playing with my kids old school beat em ups where my fave growing up

  • +1

yeah got the phycial cart of this one with all the DLCs

    • -1

At twice the price the physical version is more of a collector's item. Not much of a bargain.

      • I paid 10 bucks for a brand new copy for the collectors edition the digital version is always a rip.

        • Where was it $10? That’s a deal!

  • +1

Such a great game. Prefer the physical copy too though, I was patient and tracked it on CCC.

  • +1

Amazing game if you like the genre. More depth and better than the turtles game IMO (which is also good).

  • Great game. Enjoying it. Lot.
