LG G2… is the go…
The LTT review compares the LG G2 in the same video.
They give a dedicated review of the G2 here: LG Overclocked Their TVs to Compete - LG G2
You don't go to Linus Tech for TV review you go to HDTVTEST for a detailed TV review and bad sex jokes. Having said that, Vincent from HDTVTEST said this is the best OLED TV ever made thus far. It also just won the US TV shootout and in second place is the Samsung QD-Oled which is kind of ironic since Samsung made the QD-Oled panel use in the Sony A95K.
So it is a pre order?
That's what you gotta pay for the best. Not all that much considering its position in the market (No. 1) and that it's a brand new tech, and that it's a sony.
“48 - A80K $2545
do you mean A90K?
Yes. Part of sony’s new small screen size range - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/sony-48-inches-bravia-xr-oled…
yeah i just saw that you said a80k. thanks for the link
i have been waiting for the 42" to come out then i will wait for it to be under $2000.
why no reviews?
There's plenty online
Because they aren’t in stock yet so no customers via good guys could review it.
Vincent from HDTVTest said it’s the best set of 2022. Can’t get any better than that. If Sony brought in the 55” version I would of purchased it.
Wouldn't get the first Gen personally. Really need 75 too.
Ditto on both the first gen and the size. I got the 77" A90J last year, I wouldn't want to go smaller.
Lol at "an amazing saving". Delusional.
WTF it actually made it to our shores this soon. Okay now I'm discombobulated.
“ Best TV of 2022 “
Obviously hasn’t seen this years Hisense range 😂
The Hisense stuff sold in Australia is pretty horrible compared to the stuff in the US
Can't actually click the buy button, wonder if it's because it's technically a pre order?
Good news: You can't order it online because it's not in the system properly because they have no stock (it's unreleased until the 8th), but if you call up you can order it.
I grabbed it plus a universal stand for 5319 delivered, saving about a thousand dollars compared to the JB Hifi order I had in place.
Gah frustrating, I had this in my cart already earlier today and tried to complete the purchase with $1000 worth of gift cards in tow. Ended up getting an error message about it not being buyable and the phone sales line was already closed….
Will have to try again tomorrow and see what I can do but looks like I've missed out and ended up with $1000 of gift cards I didn't want…
The deal got extended, but the tv was removed from the website, I called up and they did the offer for me manually.
I suspect the cashback didn't work but this is a ripper of a price, I managed to clear my gift cards as well.
@Platia: Yep! I can also confirm that you can call up and have the salesperson send you an invoice to your phone to pay with the 15% off. First store I called said they couldn't honour the online price, but fortunately I didn't let that deter me and had a super friendly salesman help me at the second location I called.
Bought a spare, just in case.
Geez that's expensive for a 65. Can't justify.
I feel like 75" is now the standard. $5k for a 65 doesn't wash, no matter how Phantasmagorical you tell me the insides are.
Already got an LG OLED. I’m good. When new tech comes out I’ll buy another tv. Great if you don’t have one.
You could buy two oled TVs for that. That’s insane.
$5K…that's my target price for G2 77"…probably 2025 if I'm lucky!
