can anyone suggest the use scenarios before i pull the trigger?

Mostly used to create ambient lighting in the house. Can be used as table lamps in kids room.

Its rechargeable and hence can be used wire free.
Hue Bridge is required for taking full advantage of it features though Hue Bluetooth can be used to control it without the hub.

Hi mate. I know things seem kind if hopeless now, but if you want to talk, I'm happy to talk. I mean this is only a light. Rest up. You'll feel better in the morning.

        Lol

      • Hi mate, have you checked on him/her? havent heard from him/her.

        • If you click on their name and look at their comment history, this is their last post. Yep. We know what that means. 😥

  • 520 lumens in case anyone is wondering. I reckon if they were $70 they'd be a good deal but at this price it's hard to make a strong use case (for me anyway).

      I concur

They are good to stick in random corners for some accent lighting, and they come in useful during power outages because of the battery. But I wouldn't pay > $100 for it.

      • What they should look at is a weatherproof version - I have an occasional event in the backyard, not worth getting a sparkly in to wire lights up but these would be perfect to temporarily mark paths or as some accent lighting. I could get some more LV Callas or something but even that doesn't really seem worthwhile for the two or three times a year I'd use them.

        • The new portable lamp version has an IP44 rating, so you'd hope it would survive a bit of temporary outdoor use short of being directly rained on.
