I was looking at the Fuel check app and saw Independent Gulgong (Gulgong Automotive) selling Unleaded 91 (U91) at 119.90
People living in that area please confirm 😊

Unfortunately it's not 7-11, hence no choppers allowed to fly that zone.

A servo at Bayswater had similar prices a few days ago. Seven-11 cancelled all locks on that price.

I have seen Fuel Check apps making false price checks like this before
Especially in remote country towns like Gulgong.
Remember this information is inputted by people and is not confirmed unless there are many other motorists driving by (unlikely).
Futhermore residents in a remote town like Gulgong are highly unlikely to be shopping around for fuel or price checking.
Petrol prices tend to remain high and fairly static. I can confirm they are currently $2.08 for U91 in Gulgong.(Petrol Spy)
I note at that OPs quoted independent servo is selling U98 for $2.23 which is on par with the other servos in Gulgong.
Because Gulgong has 5 servos in such a small town Gulgong prices are slightly cheaper prices than the nearest major town of Mudgee ($2.10-$2.14)
Conclusion: There is no need to be selling fuel in Gulgong for much less than $2.08
This is just a practical joke

hopefully they price match, but $1.119 instead of $119.9… that would really kick us in the nuts when inflation is already high.
The closest major city to that servo is Dubbo, hopefully people there can confirm this cheap price.

In Sydney wholesale price for U91 is currently about $1.65 from independent supplier "United"
So I would guess that wholesale price in Gulgong would be about $1.80

I’m only half hour away and don’t have enough confidence to spend $80 in fuel to drive there just to be disappointed. Also unsure if cost of replacing my Diesel engine is worth the cheap fuel price.

If it was 7-11, they will cancel the fuel locks if the price is what is mentioned by OP.
