USB 3.0 vs 3.1 is there any actual difference in the pinout that might make any difference?

That's not the answer to the question, as far as i can tell there is no pinout difference.
There's nothing smart in these devices, they're essentially a tiny cable with plug and socket at each end.
So any throughput difference would come down to how electrically efficient the solder connections are.
I have nothing capable of such throughput anyway.
Nor do I expect to own something requiring such throughput any time soon.
Got a link or shop name? Sounds good but AliExpress can be a bit hit and miss. Nice to have a recommendation.
