I have this one and the 50l I think this is the perfect size, even if you were going away for week you can run this is parallel with an esky and freeze down water bottles and move them over to the the esky for your cold goods. this is is nice and light and freezes down quickly and the extra batter pack is well worth buying as well. Overall these units work great

  • Does this work with Google Assistant?

I thought it did but I’m surprised it doesn’t

i have this same size and its a great fridge . Bluetooth Temps is great

I bought it in the last deal and overall we are happy. We primarily use it as a freezer, running 24/7 off 240v.
We find that only the bottom half of the interior will freeze items. Anything that is just sitting on the top half won't stay frozen, like ice-cream or icecubes or whatever.
But good value for money overall. 👍

    • If they wont stay frozen… surely thats not a freezer then?

      • +4

They will stay frozen/freeze as usual if in the bottom half of the unit. This part of the unit has the metal cooling element surrounding it. The top half is just plastic. And simply doesn't get as cold. We have it set on about -14° too, which i think is almost close to flat out.
I think its just a cheap design. Still happy with the purchase.
We also have a massive old Waeco CF 80 fridge/freezer that has the cooling metal elements over basically all parts of the freezer section and it works perfectly.
It seems this unit just was designed differently to save money.

Thats a faulty unit. Should stay 100% frozen

  • How long does each of the batteries listed above keep the fridge operational?

    • According to Brass Monkey, their medium size models (rated at 60W power consumption) consume about 0.25 kWh of energy over a typical 24 hour …

Based on my calcs, if you are running them off a 12V battery, you can expect them to use 21 Ah (amp-hours) in a 24 hour period, or 0.87 Ah per hour.

      https://outdoorexplorer.com.au/brass-monkey-fridge-freezer-r…

I haven't checked the voltage conversion/maths, but hopefully this is all the detail needed. (Although what's the internal voltage on the storage battery?)

It obviously depends at what temp you're running the fridge at too.

  • Would this be less energy efficient that a regular fridge?

  • Thanks OP needed a smaller fridge/freezer for the campervan so lets see how we go with this….

  • Thanks OP, got one. Looking at the batteries now - are you sure the ones you listed are compatible? I don't know anything about this, just that it says "brass monkey" and I don't know if that uses the same thing.

NVM, apparently Rovin is a sub brand of Brass Monkey. Bought a 7.8Ah one from this listing for $110.67 after PRELOVED7JULY22 coupon (item is new, but code works). Says it's Rovin branded.

  • is it a printer?

Just picked this up for $129 shipped - now $179 on Ebay less $50 discount using eBay code PLUS50F46CK57M7M

    • +1

I think that's a unique code for you? Absolute bargain.

      • +1

Yes I think that is the eBay plus $50 code, so cost $50 to get the $50 code but have a year of eBay plus

    • They have reverted the price it seems. You got a good deal.

  • +1

    Now $164 with code

    • What code is that?

      • +2

I have a $15 off $150 spend available at checkout

        • Was this from the EOFY Sale promo for the spend $150, get the $15 voucher sent on 15 July ? I never got mine. eBay support is useless.

        • I have this too
