Mod: The product appears to be WD Elements SE which are desktop drives. Moreover, there does not seem to be any stock at SavingsDirect.com.au
Image says portable so I assume this is 2.5"
If it is legit then it's a very good deal even if usb2

180 at Dick Smith online, so agree, this appears to be a good deal.
The one from DSE is the desktop version (3.5) of WD Elements, not the portable one in the picture.
It's already $109 if you go straight to the website: http://www.savingsdirect.com.au/wd-2tb-elements-se-portable-…
+$6.50 fixed postage (coupon details state "Postage not included in deal price.")
Anyone gonna give it a shot?
if it is a portable usb 2.0 (USB powered) drive, it is most possible a 1TB drive, dont think WD has the 2TB portable already. From the picture, it is a USB powered drive, so I am not trying my luck on this drive, BTW, the postage is $6.50 fixed.
You can buy directly from quoted URL http://www.savingsdirect.com.au/wd-2tb-elements-se-portable-…,
the description says package contents is only a usb 2.0 cable, wouldnt a 3.5" have a power cable as well?
http://wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=470
capacity doesn't go to 2TB does it?
http://wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=640
2tb portable
sorry i was meaning that particular model …the "elements SE 2.5"
Beaten but meh. I'll add my 2c
They (groupon / spreets / groupbuys )tried similar deals before
As quislor mentioned, it's already on the website so why the need for the coupon
And likewise with m82, Elements portable only go upto 1TB
Cant find any with this capacity
Gonna neg so people read the comments!
tish , usb 2, 2TB portable drive, bulltish, this will end up like the other so called deals, mass refund
No way this is real, that $300 Western Digital Passport one is the only 2.5" 2tb external in the world.
I'm sure it's a 3.5".
$200 plus postage if buying from US
http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Passport-Portable--WDB…
Looks just like the 3.5 "SE" model here: http://www.dhgate.com/wd-western-digital-2tb-3-5-quot-inch-e…
"Portable" as in its not bolted into your computer :P Dodgy they're not saying its 3.5"
It's a rubbish website.
Yep. I love their slogan - "Why Pay Today?" lolwut?
"Postage not included in deal price."
and it looks awefully fat for a 2.5" drive
and why is the OP linking to dealfree.com.au when it can be bought directly from savingsdirect for that price without any coupon? http://www.savingsdirect.com.au/wd-2tb-elements-se-portable-…
None available on http://www.savingsdirect.com.au/wd-2tb-elements-se-portable-… when I looked…
sold out
Not an attempt at proving any kind of legitimacy, but there are 2TB WD Passport drives available: Officeworks for $289 http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Dat… and JB for $299 http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/computers-laptops/computer-ac…. Apparently 2TB is the largest the current mechanical technology can hold in the 2.5" drives.

no phone
hmmmm
This is a 3.5" drive as WD have only just released the 2.5" 2TB "passport" drive in March 2012. (see photos)
http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/western-digital-launc…
Confirming that advertised 'Elements' drive is not portable but is instead listed by WD as a desktop drive see http://www.wdc.com/en/products/external/desktop/
Also retailer SavingsDirect website states item not available "Sorry but this item is currently unavailable. Please check back at a later stage." See http://www.savingsdirect.com.au/wd-2tb-elements-se-portable-…
So -1.
The term 'portable' is misleading. I guess it looks lighter than my WD My Book Essential 2T (bought early this year for $149 fro Officeworks), but it is not a 2.5" drive. Might be worth it for those looking for cheap 3.5" drive, but I won't go with a USB 2 drive.
Can't find any info about savingsdirect so I'm gonna save my time and money. This one seems too good to be true.
