Might be a good idea to put resolution and refresh rate in the title. I can't imagine 1080p at 32 inches would be great.

  • What is a good resolution and refresh rate for productivity monitor. Mainly Word docs, pdfs, spreadsheets and website research

1440 @ 60 is fine in this size

    1080p on a 32" screen? yikes

yep, 1440p should be absolute minimum

    • 11yo son was keen to buy this for his new 'gaming setup'. From your comment I'm assuming we should give it a miss?

Should we stick with something smaller? This is probably at the top of his budget.

im sure an 11yr old would be thrilled with it and its fine for a budget gaming setup as thats exactly what this screen is intended for

personally though, if cost was the same, id go for a 27" 1440p screen as the picture would be much clearer/sharper and more "real estate" for general use.

It's at an awkward spot, 24-27inch 144hz+ monitors can often be found for around $200, and I don't feel like a larger screen is really an upgrade when the resolution is the same. If I'm spending almost $300 anyways I'd rather go up to a 1440p 27inch instead

      • For your use case, it’s great. All these other people are monitor snobs really and reading reviews, the way dell is processing images seems to make it run very smoothly and would put a lot of 1440p monitors to shame.

  • probably good for a sim setup
