    It does have all the 80 channels and repeater channels as well as provision to program some "other" uhf freq channels.
    product brochure: http://www.icom-australia.com/products/uhf/ic_41s/UHFCB_IC-4…

    A cheaper alternative may be to get a "Wouxun" off ebay for about $120 delivered. (but not type approved for uhf CB)

  • What is the difference between the 41S & 41W?

    • I think it's:

      S: Water-Resistent -vs-

      W: Waterproof (but you may need to buy "W" spec'd batteries, in time)

      Either way, do you trust them to be 100% Water-R… or -Proof? :-/

      …probably close… but - if you care about that - read spec's closely. ;-)

  • Whether you use the ICOM or Vertex Standard (or the other guy's fav brand: Wouxun), when you're chatting eith friends on UHF CB (or Ham Radio, for that matter)…

    • There's NO Air-Time to buy, over the life of the radio, as there is with mobiles

    Rent = Buying Air

    Mobiles = Buying Air-Time

    The CHOICE is Your… :-)

  • not bad.

    my pux still serves me very well though.

  • Yeh so happy with mu puxing 888, also $300 cheaper :)

    • What are the main uses of these devices? (other than talking with truckies heh)
      Do you buy multiple devices and use them when going on holidays etc etc?

    • Yeah only thing is the puxing is illegal to use on cb.

      Not to say you can't though.

      • depends on what you're transmitting
