  • Limescale also on sale but not sure if there's a big difference link

  • unfortunately made in China. nowadays can hardly find the ones made in UK or Germany

    • +1

      What would be the difference?

      • -2

        Very simple answer.

Would you buy made in China Audi? Or made in Germany Audi? :)

        Same same but different :p

        • +7

Trick question - I'd buy the cheaper one

my iPhone is made in China, and I've been very happy with it

Sounds like casual racism to me

          • +3

@starspawn: Although I somewhat agree note that China (the country) is not the same thing as Chinese people. It is not implied that Chinese (people) make inferior products; it's just the regulations are not as strict there.

            • @bio: yep… same reason the Chinese people living in china import things like baby forumla over the chinese made ones…

            • +1

@bio: true…idk why other comments even mentioned racism….
It's not about people at all

A $20k Chinese Audi Q7 would be my dream car!

        • I love car analogy's as much as the next ozbargainer, but the real test would be baby formula.

        • +2

Do you believe that Audi wouldn't have the same quality control on the cars coming out of China as they do German made? It's all the same process, just done in a country where the labour is cheaper.

        • +1

          Germany Audi?
          How about this.

Same as Made in Japan or what, too many dodgy thing and makes no difference in today's world

  • +4

6.32 per filter (Made in China).
6.88 per filter (Made in UK).

    • +2

According to an aussie review this month, they still received boxes made in China.

      • You guys know all that coal/carbon we used to ship to China?

        Guess what's in these.

        PSYCH!

  • I dont know much about these water filters, but i know my parents use one at their place. was thinking of getting one for them. Is Brita Maxtra a special model of Brita? or will it work in all Brita water filters?

    • -5

Use the google machine. Would have been quicker than posting the question here…

    • +1

All Brita jugs use the same Maxtra filters. The actual filtering material may slightly change (e.g. limescale filter) but they all fit all jugs.

      • +2

Thanks mate for the useful information and helpful advice.

      • +3

They don't: my old Brita that I'd had for about 10 years took filters that look almost the same, except the newer Maxtra filters had some extra plastic "wings" on them which meant that they didn't fit, so I had to buy a new jug. Not complaining after such a long time of use, but if his parents' one is old enough, the filters may not work.

  • Looks like about half price compared to Woolies at $37.50 for a 3 pack ($12.50 each). Does anyone know if they go on sale at Woolies? Only recently started filtering water as our new place has a strong chroline smell … water company been out to test and say its fine….

  • I see $90 what am I doing wrong? I guess I missed out?

    • have you logged in and have an active amazon prime subscription? because i can see the $63.20 price on the right panel as "prime exclusive deal", and $90 as "regular price".

      • opps i just refreshed the page and it's gone now. ozbargain'd!

  • +4

Took the risk to wait until 4pm for CR cashback, didn't work lol

    • High5

    • 🙌 same for me although I was just activating the Prime trial. Lolz

    • Same :(

    • We snooze, we lose.

  • For those that missed out there is an Amazon UK 15 pack deal that works out to be $6.87 per cartridge. A little worse than this deal which is $6.32 per cartridge. Amazon UK deal cartridges are made in the UK.
