Just the standard price from these retailers now I'm guessing?
If you really prefer ordering from JW.

It's pci-e 8x. 128 bit memory interface.
If you fill the bandwidth the card could choke 20% or more. The 5700xt is the same speed and 256 bit memory interface but is pcie 16x. 5700xt designed for ultra detail/1440p in mind.
Ignore the member here who keeps defending it (the member with the rx6600 dual). It will be fine for most games.. until it isn't (ie Doom Eternal). Don't buy 6600xt for anything above 1080p high settings.
Also it's around $60 overpriced. It's the lowest tier 6600xt. Powercolor/XFX already been available for $399.
Seems to handle Doom Eternal quite well - benchmarks show about 140fps at 1440p??

Actually seems to do better at 1440p where GPU-CPU interaction is less than at 1080p when running pcie gen 3x8. In most titles it doesn't seem to make a difference running pcie gen 3x8 either.
https://youtu.be/86pRe_GeT1IAnd when you factor in the $200 difference the 6600xt is always better value than 3060.
PCIe lanes have nothing to do with the card's tiny memory bus. The former are the connection between the CPU and GPU and the later are the connection between the GPU and its memory.
What's more likely is at higher resolutions, the GPU gets hard bottlenecked by its memory bus, so its small number of PCIe lanes starts to matter less.
Reporting for duty!
You'll find most review sites show that whilst "bus bandwidth" is a nice buzzword, what matters to gamers is frames/$, and the min / max / avg. FPS. And you'll find the 6600xt bests the 3060 when it comes to real world performance.
"Architecturally, it's still impressive how much performance AMD was able to wring out of a 128-bit memory interface. That's thanks to the Infinity Cache, which even with "only" 32MB clearly does a lot for performance and helps avoid massive GPU bottlenecks." - Tom's Hardware 6600xt review
lol easy… 50mhs vs 31mhs.. go figure .. 3060 at $500 will be sold easily.. at $400 then it is a steal
The RTX 3060 has far too much VRAM for a card of its calibre (way more than it'll ever be able to use for gaming) and VRAM is extremely expensive, which makes it cost a lot more to manufacture. Plus people are also willing to pay more for more VRAM (that they'll never use) and Nvidia's feature set.
it's not that.. have a look 6900xt vs 3080.. 6700xt 6800xt vs 3070.. 30xx cards hold values because of hashrate.. even 2080 cards still asking crazy price
The 6900XT is a bit dearer than the 3080 (ASUS sale not withstanding) but the 3080 has a ~67% higher hashrate. 6800XT is ~33% dearer than the 3060 Ti, but they hash about the same.
Hashrates don't matter anymore lol. Most likely, retailers overpaid for their Nvidia stock (due to high hashrates) and are reluctant to lower prices to clear their inventory at a loss, but they're going to be forced to do it eventually. The LHR unlock hasn't helped them out at all lol, it came way too late.@iseeyou1312: not sure it's true though… retailer like bpctech has cleared their 3060, 3070 long time ago even now they dont have stock
@pembajak_sejati: Here you go fella, those sales were just the beginning.
Maybe BPCTech are well managed and cleared stock to the bear minimum and placed no more orders, but who knows. The rest of the industry won't be so fortunate.
Also, companies that don't help Nvidia clear their Ampere oversupply won't be given access to Lovelace.
gamers are biased against AMD, have a look at steam hardware stats. The first AMD card is at number 20 something. Its after RTX3050 which is a terrible value card.
And the used ones listed on ebay are still close to this price.
Your will find it neat impossible to find a good value used GPU at the moment, considering anything from Pascal onwards was likely used for mining you would expect it to be 50% less than a new one.
Yeah exactly.
I keep seeing sellers with multiple units for sale.
And the Ebay ones are almost 1 year old ex-mining cards, that miners are trying to flog for more than buying brand new lol.
EBay can be a bargain bin and a money pit at the same time, just depends what you’re looking for
Should I pull the trigger or wait for prime day?
Cheaper from mwave after factoring in delivery
Yes, noted. I'm contemplating to buy now or wait until amazon prime sales next week.
Does Amazon stock many GPUs?
@FireRunner: I haven't seen Amazon selling directly, it's mainly been through other PC stores.
@ThriftyGuy: Yeah, I mean some are stocked by Amazon but most are third-party sellers fulfilled by Amazon
I'm wondering if they'll be many GPU deals on Prime day.
I guess the general trend of GPUs is downward so even if there isn't anything on Prime day, you should be able to get one around this price anyway
Mwave delivery is 2 week's at the moment
they may all the same , still on sale so no deal .
How is this so cheap when a RTX3060 costs like $200 more?
