Seems to have gotten a decent review by GamersNexus.
Also looks pretty clean in my opinion for an air cooler.

How does noise compare to the noctua?
It's very quiet.
I had previously added a second fan to the Noctua NH-U12S, so they were both dual-fan coolers. My PC is under my desk and I could not hear a difference between the two.
@billhutchison, What temps are you getting on the 5900x please? Under idling / under load etc ? thanks
@metalhead: Idle right now I'm sitting at 30C.
@billhutchison: Just ran Cinebench for 20 minutes and it hit a max temp of 60C.
Is the u12s old or smaller? I’m surprised noctua fares worse.
The U12 is a single tower, the deepcools direct competitor would be the D14/15 line which you could get on Newegg (shipped from Taiwan direct IIRC) for not much more than this cooler.
I have the d14 and it's just a silent beast. I even reused one of the fans as a case fan as I now have a low power CPU.
I just upgraded to a 1700 socket and noctua sent me out a new bracket on the day I applied. They're an amazing bunch. I'll always buy noctua myself…on sale of course haha.
@incipient: this is my support experience as well. I had a board that burnt out after about 4 years and fused to the board , and i no longer have the plates for the new board, noctua was kind enough to just send me the plates without me paying for it, or buying a brand new cooler.
since, i just picked them for all my air cooled solutions even when it's not on offer.
Are they still available direct from Noctua? Can't seem to find it.
@TheContact: They don't seem to be selling via NewEgg anymore. I found a link to their old NH-L12S listing but when you click on the "Sold and shipped by: Direct from manufacturer Noctua Cooling Solutions" link, you get the following:
Sorry. We can't find this Seller.
Yeah, I upgraded slowly from a Ryzen 5 1600 up to this one, so only recently decided to finally upgrade the cooler as the Noctua did great with the 1600, and then 3600, but seemed to struggle with the 5900x, even after adding the second fan.
@billhutchison: Yea whether you go Noctua D15 or Deepcool AK620 its twice the surface area so additional cooling capacity. I use my D15 in one of my PCs and Arctic LF2 420 in the other and FWIW the D15 holds its own pretty well.
Still don’t understand why price here is almost double compared to China even after discount
First time learning about “Australia tax”?
I would be surprised if it’s parity. We are like getting tourists prices in our own country.
have to transport , have to store have to dispatch, have to invoice at australian labour rates ….. im more surprised when we pay more than USA for chinese made products as they come about the same distance and labour rates are about the same unless you work in take away or restaurant ….
We have consumer protection rights
Economies of scale.
Australia has a population of roughly 25 million, while the US is more like 250 million.
Look like a copy of the DR Pro 4, but currently $55 (cheaper at the moment).
Sorry are you saying the DR Pro 4 is on sale for $55? If so do you have a link?
No, I said this one $55 cheaper.
I've seen the DRP 4 for around $99 being the cheapest at times.Ah ok - thanks
The DeepCool AK620 a great cooler. I swapped by Noctua NH-U12S for this on my Ryzen 9 5900x and saw a drop of about 10C during extended stress tests, and performance increased by about 5% in Cinebench because of the lower temps.
