    Mine is slow AF.

    • I've got this one for almost 2 years now and it was very slow initially but it got better with updates. I read in another post that if you reset it to factory settings, theirs wasn't slow AF any more.

    • Yes slow AFF!!!! Mine been sitting on the shelve for the pass year.

Mine is slow when you turn it on after a while not using it then it stabilises and surprises me with how decent it performs with a few Chrome tabs, zoom, pdf viewer and OneNote all running

Well i hear it converts from business to fun in no time at all so maybe thats whats up.

  • I’m tempted to get one of these just to see what’s up. Such hugely varying first hand reviews… kinda hoped it would have hit 250 ish by now.

    • think that price was the low last time ..

this 1 has been out for a long time right ? many yonks ago ?

      • Yeah been hovering around this region for a while

Nothing else really comparable as a package yet

  • Same price as good guys, but can get $60 store credit from them if you spend another $101

I've been thinking about getting one for ages, finally had a play with it in store and it was soooo slow. The lenovo 5 was much better apart from the oddly wide screen, waiting for a deal on the 8gb variant.

  • The Duet 3 is out and has a much faster CPU, they might be selling off the version 2 to make way. Mine is fast enough for light Web, flipboard, plex. My only complaint is no way to used traditional headphones and charge at the same time.

  • Slow…

  • I wanted one for a basic always on screen, slow I could deal with, but it can't even be forced to stay on without a random update coming through and restarting itself. Then it's mostly useless for anything else, so sits off in the tech wasteland at home.

I had this for a couple of years before I upgraded to a Duet 5. From what I recall I paid over $450 for it when it few months after release. IMHO it’s a decent Chromebook tablet, I bought it primarily for web browsing and video streaming with the full desktop chrome browser experience, it was almost perfect for that. But DO NOT BUY this if you are after a cheap Android tablet, you will be disappointed. While this can run Android games and apps, there are faster dedicated Android tablets for the same price, this is not meant for that.

IMHO this tablet at this price can be a very good buy for anyone who wants a cheap tablet with a full desktop browsing experience (and can’t stand Android tablet browsers and all their limitations and lack of extensions), do most things including video streaming via the browser (like you would with a laptop) and have an occasional use for the keyboard, but most importantly do not care about Android games and do not expect Galaxy S series tablet or core i5+ based laptop level performance.

    • How is the duet 5? Do you find it slow?

  • Bought from the Amazon $265 deal whenever that was. A supplementary Chromebook to my Flex 5 for sitting on the couch and checking emails, forums etc. Travel notebook for quick emails and watching streaming services (note the speakers are pretty crap. Definite not a speed demon but will get the job done but only as a small, secondary device.
