  • Can the “night light” be disabled? So it can operate in a dark room with no lit LEDs to minimise disrupting sleep?

    • +3

      Gday mate

Yes - it’s actually a key marketing feature.

      From website:

26dB Quiet Sleep Mode & Night Light: In sleep mode, the air purifier runs with a noise level of only 26dB, and the fan speed reduces to the minimum level, and all lights are switched off automatically. The sleep mode is so quiet that it won't disturb your sleep. Designed with night light - white light and color-changing mood lighting for a pleasant night atmosphere. The lights can be switched off individually. Great for baby and children's rooms.

  • +1

can you tell us the cadr and noise for each fan speed level

    • +1

All I have is exactly what’s in the website ( I’m not a rep ) - but definitely happy to relay back to marketing to seek clarification.

      • +1

yeah that would be helpful. not much use in knowing the CADR for only the top speed because 52 dB is too loud for normal use.

        • +2

Good point mate. I have one ordered, one of my boys was born with chronic lung disease so thought this would help him at least for the first year or so until he got stronger.

He is a super light sleeper so this is going to be the real test haha!

        • Hey mate

This is what they came back with so far:

We have not tested this CADR in such detail, and it is almost impossible to describe it in terms of levels. It is all displayed according to the maximum. I have to ask the factory to see the original data. It is not so fast. The minimum noise sleep mode is 26db, and the high-end Mode is around 52db

If/when I get an update I'll post it here publicly too as Im sure you're not the only one interested in this information. I will strongly recommend they update their own marketing material too.

      That’s not the au camel?

      https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0823KY9XZ?context=se…

Also amazon doesn’t have this deal with the extra filter rrp $50?

      If it’s one thing I hate it’s spamazon/ozadvertising - I’d only post if it’s a bargain and I do spend a lot of time looking at camels^3

      • Rookie mistake, apologies.

Granted it is 'cheaper', however they came out last year for 110ish. The filter came out at 40. So the rrp is inflated (ie, savings aren't that massive).

        • All good, If it was up to me we would all be referencing best last known prices that were not a price glitch/ intro pricing for fairer assessment of what was an actual bargain.

          • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: I was looking at this for a while, I had it in my cart and saw the price kept going up from 110.

Also, it looks suspiciously similar to these: https://amzn.asia/d/5VCLxlS

Knowing these points, I decided to buy something else.

In any case, it's a good info for people to know and they can make their own decision.

  • Thanks Jimothy!

  • I had one of these but had to return it.

It's a great little machine but it made a buzzing/humming sound sporadically. Sometimes for 15~ seconds, other times just blips (like Morse code). Very noticeable in Sleep mode while trying to get to sleep.

My machine may have been faulty - but I'm not sure if it's a design fault.

    • +1

Did it happen on start up or gradually develop? I can’t imagine this going down well with a lot of users. Did support say anything in response? I’ll ask my contact if this is a common/known issue.

      • I didn't ask. I just returned it (via Amazon) after two weeks of it happening.

I couldn't see anything online (in reviews) that matched what was happening so I just assume it was my machine.

Anyway, I just ordered a new one through your link and code. Fingers crossed I don't have the same issue.

        • +1

hey mate the official word from renpho so far that I have been asked to relay is:

'In terms of the buzzing/humming issue, let them send emails to [email protected]. They will investigate case by case.'

          • @Jimothy Wongingtons: Thanks for getting back to me. I'll see how the new purifier goes - hopefully the buzz/hum isn't there.

            • +1

@galachxy: I hope for everyone’s sake it’s a very isolated case and easily addressed D:

    • +2

I've got one and it doesn't do that, sounds like you might have been unlucky

      • +2

I think you're right. I otherwise liked the machine so I just ordered a new one - fingers crossed.

    • +6

Mine does that. I have 3 and sounds like aliens talking to each other.

      • haha - that sounds about right.

Are yours noticeable when in Sleep mode? The noise mine was making would keep me awake.

        • +1

Mine starts buzzing after 40-60 mins in all mode.

      • +3

Fwiw I have sent them an email to follow up and I’ll report back if it’s a known problem/ known cause with fix etc

        • Thanks for this. I'm interested to see what they say.

Seems like a couple of others here have had similar issues.

    • +2

I actually had this with my Xiaomi 3H. Was the tiniest humming noise every so often apparently produced by a tiny little fan or something at the back of it. But my hearing is annoyingly ultra sensitive so once I noticed it that was it for me. Thankfully I've since developed a love for sleeping with the fan on all year round so can probably avoid this.

Do you have pets at all? Considering getting a second one of these one for the bedroom the other for the living area. My cat has white fur and it's driving me bonkers, I know air purifiers don't really solve the issue of furry pets, but the 3H greatly reduced fur noticeably flying everywhere. If this doesn't work I'm shaving him.

      • There is 4 houses being built over next 12 months opposite the road to mine, I’m also 1 road in from a major road with trucks on it all day everyday . Hopefully this will help with dust and other pollutants.

      • +1

OK so it must not just be me. It does sound like a tiny humming fan, but it's only very tiny.

I don't have any pets - allergic to cats, dogs and feathers (and romantic relationships, I think… I'm destined to die alone). Sorry I can't comment on how it goes with pets.

        • +2

Here's hoping one day you can confirm how it goes with hairy partners

      • I have two cats, i have the Xiaomi purifier, i have it in my bedroom every night, and can definitely say it works for my allergies. Even when my allergies start up and my eyes start crying and all the other stuff i bring the purifier in and it works wonders!

        • Yeh I've heard they work wonders for allergies. I'm not allergic to the cat thankfully, more so just want him to stop shedding freaking everywhere. So many random places pop up with cat fur. When I had the Xiaomi running it was less noticeable on furniture surfaces so hopefully the Renpho does the job too!

          • @MBix: Ohh right… Yes unfortunately summer thy shed heaps, highly recommend a robo vac, I use that 2 to 3 times a week

    • +1

Have one in the loungeroom, but it's not on 24/7,so can't say I've noticed this issue. Putting a comment here though to see what op comes back with info wise from the store before I pull the trigger on another one for my mum.

      • +2

hey mate the official word from renpho so far that I have been asked to relay is:

'In terms of the buzzing/humming issue, let them send emails to [email protected]. They will investigate case by case.'

  • Price has drop fairly quickly. Got one last April only. Are you getting rid of old stocks?

    • Not that I know of honestly ( I’m not a rep though)

  • Does this unit also have a humidifier function?

    • +1

Unfortunately no. I do rate the euky bear (you can get from most big pharmacy) though for a vaporiser/humidifier - helps my kids go to sleep in the dryer months.

  • is it the one they also do weight scales?

    • +2

Yes renpho also does two weight scales, and a food scale… if that was the question and not ‘is this also a scale..’

  • I admit I'd love a similar deal to this but on the smaller air purifier: https://au.renpho.com/products/air-purifier-s-compact

    • +2

All good - Ill raise it with renpho marketing and see what can be done :)

  • +1

Code expires not working anymore ?

    • +2

I’ve been advised all special codes are custom coded into the shopfront… evidently not very well.. sorry I’ll get them to fix

    • Ok now

  • +2

    code not working anymore

    • Thanks I will mark it expired for now until Renpho get their act together.

    • Ok now

  • Code ok again

  • Just ordered a few of these. Anyone ordered from this company before and know about rough shipping times?

    • +1

Mine yet to be dispatched - when i ordered my renpho bike it rocked up in <2 business days in Metro Bris after shipping from a logistics warehouse in NSW. I'm not a rep so not privvy to their inner workings but i can definitely check with them to see if i can get you a better ETA.

      • +1

Thanks mate, no need to check, but if you could update when you do get a dispatch notice. I was just wondering if these are coming locally or from overseas which could take a bit longer.

I ordered 2 units on the weekend and ordered another 2 this morning. I had to place multiple separate orders because the code can only be used for one unit at a time. Hopefully all my orders arrive.

        • afaik they are shipping from local - will update when I hear more…

        • +2

hey mate ive have been advised

          • these orders are being shipped locally with australia post, and to allow 5-9 business days.
          • all orders placed on june 30 so far have been dispatched
          • @Jimothy Wongingtons: Awesome. Thanks for the update. Seems like if I ordered today and on the weekend, I should be getting the units by end of next week.

            • +2

@warmfruit: Yeh can confirm I got a dispatch email from Renpho over the weekend. The tracking number shows it hasn't been scanned in with Aus Post though. Being over in WA probably just Aus Post things

              • @MBix: I've received four separate tracking numbers for my orders and like yours, Auspost app shows none have been scanned as yet.

  • +1

not able to checkout with paypal

    • strange.. i will ask them to check it out.

to make it easier, do you have any error code/ description of fault?

weird because the shopfront is based off shopify and paypal is natively accepted without any extra add-ons/scripting.

      • at checkout it show

Your payment can’t be processed for technical reasons. Try again or use a different payment method.

        • +1

how strange i will relay this over to them - thank you for updating

        • +1

hey mate it should be fixed now - no reason was provided as to why…

    • had the same yesterday so used card instead

  • Update: Renpho has advised Paypal should be working again now.

  • Just received confirmation it’s in Australia Post’s hands today after the consignment was lodged on Monday. Expected delivery 18th to 21st of July here in Perth

    • Hope it delivers sooner :(

      • +1

Eh it is what it is. It looks like it wasn't handed over to Aus Post until Friday after AP got the consignment for it on Monday, but it's free shipping so I'm not fussed about the 4 days difference. Aus Post have been pretty terrible from Coast to Coast the last couple years so if it turns up on or before the 21st I'll be happy :D

Edit: Do you know how long the deal will be around for? I was really hoping to give one a good test before the deal expired, but given it's not going to be here for another week or 2, I might just have to bite the bullet and buy a second one before it does

  • +1

Is it white as pictured? All reviews show it in black. Would this be large enough for a room about 30m sq?

    • White yes - black not available in aus.

30 prob a bit big. Marketing material states up to 22…

      • Actually glad it’s white. I decided I want to buy this but discount code not working?

        • Seriously? Urghhhh sorry about about that. I will chase them (renpho) up again and update you here.

        • hey mate its all good now - surprisingly quickly fixed this time. I've verified code discounts properly and have asked them to address this recurring issue. @rexstar

          • @Jimothy Wongingtons: Thanks. It works now and I just completed the order. Earlier it was accepting your code but wasn’t discounting anything from the total. Now, although it showed $0 discount at your code it did update the total to $120. My first air purifier. Got it for my bedroom.

            • +1

@rexstar: Nice hope it helps !

And yes - I was told discount codes are custom coded into the system… and as such are prone to breaking … very frequently it seems.

  • Mine arrived earlier than expected yesterday. Set it up last night in the bedroom. Unfortunately while the actual light on the unit itself can be turned off I can't figure out a way to turn the LED of the buttons off. In sleep mode it's just the one LED button still on, but even that was a little annoying. Nothing a strategically cut little cardboard flap won't solve for tonight but just thought I'd see if I'm missing a way to run it minus the button leds

    • I will ask if there is a way to totally turn it off ( I should probably set up my one actually too lol )

      • Hey mate

This was the reply from renpho product manager

The least light is sleep mode. Only the sleep key will be on, and the brightness will be halved.
The sleep light is on, which is equivalent to a night light. This allows you to find the product to cancel the sleep mode at night.

Imo bit of a cop out as when I asked this originally they said AND highlighted from their marketing:

26dB Quiet Sleep Mode & Night Light: In sleep mode, the air purifier runs with a noise level of only 26dB, and the fan speed reduces to the minimum level, and all lights are switched off automatically. The sleep mode is so quiet that it won't disturb your sleep. Designed with night light - white light and color-changing mood lighting for a pleasant night atmosphere. The lights can be switched off individually. Great for baby and children's rooms.

Like I will accept English is not the marketing teams’ first language but maybe they should clarify before uploading … I am awaiting for a response to this too.

  • +3

So, figured I'd see if this code still works, it does! Except that it changed the price to $66.66 AUD!!

It was so tempting to get 2, but I've no need for 2. If there is anyone still holding out on giving an air purifier a try, this is your time! Ridiculous bargain!

    • +1

Thanks for heads up I just snagged a second unit for $66.66

    • +1

Nice find, totally not intentional but get on it!

    • +1

At that price, worth buying a second just for the two extra filters. Hopefully it will be good. There’s some Amazon reviews talking about it making weird noises but also many positive reviews. Maybe they will fix the coupon code bug now :P

      • Yep 2 new filters is more than 66 haha

    • +1

      Got 1 at 66.66 - thanks!

  • Hey Jimothy,
Seems the purifier + extra filter is sold out.
Any chance of a similar deal for purifier only? maybe something like the 66.66AUD like the above? :)

    • +1

Hey mate there was a bit of a spike once user above noted the glitch I will assume based on above comments- so I will assume it’s sold out for now. Afaik the $66 was NOT intentional- but guess we’ll find out tomorrow once my contact updates…

  • +3

Dang, just got a refund for the $66 Air Purifier! Heartbreaking.

The first one I got seems to have a slightly high pitched sound when operating at medium/high speeds. My ears are ultra sensitive so might be just that, but was hoping to get a second one to see if it's just how they are.

Understand the refund due to a pricing error, no issues with that, but have only received a generic refund email thus far from them, not receiving some sort of simple sorry for the mix up email is pretty disappointing!

    • +1

Refunded here too. I already got one for $120. It arrived today. About to set it up.

      • +1

Seems they're back in stock at $120 with Jimothy's code, will probably just order another at that price. We all knew the $66 was extremely likely to be an error obviously!

Let me know how your unit goes!

        • So far happy with the purifier after using for 5 days. No odd noises.

    • +1

      Hey mate

He sure to hit up support. When I asked them about it they said on a case by case basis they would address as people contacted them.

      As per returns policy

If a refund or replacement is required due to product quality issues, we will cover the cost of return shipping and restocking.

  • +1

Bugger. Refund as well, but! If it's the 120 code again it's still a bargain.

  • +2

I just got notification the $66 orders would be cancelled. I was not advised how many were put through but I apologise (as an ozbargainer) for the inconvenience for any that jumped on hoping for a cheeky (but honoured price error).

Unfortunately as I said - the glitch was definitely not intentional and looks to be an oversight on their programmers behalf when the flash sale rolled in but glitched out the discount code. I’ve used the Shopify platform as a business owner too and the discount code function is terrible at best unless it’s a really straight forward one like 10% off or free delivery.

    • +2

No need for apologies, especially from yourself! I think any self respecting Ozbargainer knows the "risk" when something like this happens!

  • Hi is there any reason the code isn't working? I'm willing to buy a total of 3 these if the deal is still on.

    • Hey mate I will chase it up - but I have found typically when they are running store wide promos it either breaks the promo or disables the code….

      • no worries mate, keep me posted!

        • Hey bud it’s fixed, they confirmed the new promo broke the coding
