    Pretty cheap compared to how much they cost a few years ago. Back in 2009 I got one for $600 then $470 in 2011.

  • Cheaper than buying used on eBay. Seems to be a good deal!

  • Great deal … but I would need two Canon 580exII or the new 600 … ahhh …

  • what's the difference between these and the new 910?

    • multi point AF iluminator and better overheat protection

    • The new one slows down when the temps increase. You can rapid-fire to your heart's content until it melts with this one.

  • can anyone tell me their insights to this flash?
    better than SB-600? Someone told me there wasnt a huge difference for the pricing diff

    • much better than the SB600. higher GN, easier user interface, can be used as a wireless commander, better zoom head…. the list goes on.

      in a nutshell, BUY IT

      • The SB600 UI was such a pain!!!! I had to spend a few hours googling just to understand it! Scored one from this deal earlier on today, before sold out :D

  • These are great flashes - I've never had an overheating problem with mine. They were about $900 when I bought mine (I think I paid $600 or $700 from memory), so this is a good price.

    Haven't tried the SB-700 but would probably grab one of those if given the opportunity so I have something smaller too. The SB-900 ain't no baby flash!

      I'm positive that this isnt how voting should work on this site.

      That's a stupid reason to neg the deal.
      Just because you were too slow does not mean this deal should be negged.

      It's a good price.

      OP should tell how many unit was available. then we will decide to neg?

      • We had 13 left :)

      -> fxwwj

      I know some people will negative vote to alert other people to a deal now being out of stock, but just letting you know you can more anonymously help others, by clicking "Report" the deal and let the mods know the deal is now out of stock, for one of us to update when we visit the site.

      -> billq

      It is a fairly common method for members to let others know, that the deal is no longer available. Typically one and one person only might vote negative and let people know the deal is out of stock.

      That way when others see the deal, they will check the negative and quickly find it's out of stock, then move on.

      Reporting is another way to mark a deal and we usually getting someone also reporting it so we can update it (or the OP will update), but voting is one method used by people.

  • how bout a deal on speedlite 580 II :)

    • Speedlite 600EX-RT - $598 - one day deal from DWI

      http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/product.asp?idProd…

      • I'd just like to note that they are a dropshipper, and we are not.

      • Good price for the new 600EX-RT delivered … but would prefer the 580ex II as I have already invested in radio triggers … hope there will be a run out deal soon (the 580ex II is discontinued). Or maybe the 600ex (without radio triggers gets cheaper soon).

        • Hey mini_wombat, just letting you know, the 600EX and 600EX-RT are exactly the same thing :) we wondered if they were different but have confirmed with our suppliers and Canon that there is only one version of that flash, it is just called different names around the world :)

        • I always thought the RT one has radio trigger (RT) build in and the other one is the same flash without that functionality. But I am not 100% sure … :-).

        • That's what we thought, but there's only the one model with radio :)

  • Keep an eye out impoze ;)

  • How about Nikon D700?

  • Nothing special planned for the D700 sorry :(
