    Hmm.

    between 24th May 2022 12.00am AEST and 25th May 2022 11.59pm AEST.

    ?

    I assume they mean June.

Also… Can buy $100 gift card?

    • Copied from the Shopback. Fixed :)

Check ebay t&c… if the regular cashback decline, challenge will remain incomplete.

      • +1

Yeah. I am more asking about if a gift card would crazy a zero cashback as opposed to a denied cashback. Because you could still earn the bonus on $0.00 cashback maybe.

        I'll ask the rep.

    • Would love confirmation on that also…
Does a $100 Ebay gift card purchase qualify?
Lifestyle (Existing eBay Customers) - Giftcard & Coupons, Musical Instrument, Sports, Tickets & Events1.00%
Not sure ebay gift cards is a lifestyle catagory…

      • +2

eBay don't offer gift cards via their website at the moment, and buying an eBay GC via our website or other 3rd parties wouldn't qualify you for this challenge. Gift cards for other brands bought on eBay would let you qualify though!

        • Thanks gotyourback, greatly appreciated 🙂👍

  • Can we use ebayplus free shipping code: PLIDFY

  • +1

Is it valid if we use ebay gift cards as payment?

    Thanks

    • +3

As payment is always ok at eBay. Always eligible for cashback/promo

      • I am thinking to buy the Nintendo switch oled which this offer will bring it down to $390 - some Cashback on gift cards.

        Looks like a great deal.

  • I'm getting the feeling that Ozbargain, eBay and Shopback are just trying to get us to spend more on stuff we don't need…

    • True.. I have read somewhere that

People are irrationally motivated to complete arbitrary sets of tasks like this challenge or add extras to get free shipping.

some feel satisfied on doing that. While, other may have something on their to do list of purchase, this gives window of opportunity.

Either way, this works for such brand I guess.

  • Recall from memory shopback usually track eBay challenge even on 0% cashback item

But not sure if it would accept those promo code not listed here: eg FYXTRA, MCPAY10V2

    • +1

Use of this promo code may not count towards challenge, even though Cashback tracked as 0%. This may result in challenge left incomplete.

And ebay takes couple of days to track cashback, by the time challenge will be expired.

      • +2

Happy to be corrected but this OP comment is slightly incorrect

All promo codes used will be counted towards the challenge. Only the ones listed will have regular cashback tracked. The rest will be tracked at $0.00 and will still count towards this $10 challenge

eBay does take a while to track but once you have opted into the challenge, it’ll stay even if it has expired. It’ll move into a pending results stage, which by then your transaction from eBay should’ve been tracked

        • What I meant earlier was, you won’t be able to finish challenge later, incase of someone uses promo codes mentioned by @littlesoldier & eBay/Shopback don’t not counts them towards the challenge.

Lets say, he uses this codes & purchase something from ebay. Challenge ends tomorrow. Ebay takes time to track, up to 7 days. If ebay/shopbacks do not honour cashback later as the promo code are not listed in challenge.

Outcome will be incomplete challenge :)

          • @mountains: I received confirmation from GYB through dm. The comment I posted is correct

            • @BargainsGrabber: If it’s confirmed by GYB. I have no doubt in it. That was my assumption bcz of the way terms are defined. Thanks for clearing out the doubts.

You may use the codes SAFY20, PLUSFY22 or PLFY20 to complete this challenge

        • For the bonus $10 eBay gift card challenge, the T&Cs has specifically stated that using unapproved coupons does not count towards this challenge. Yeah it may still be tracked but may eventually be declined instead of approved.

          • +6

@wtfnodeal: Hi all, just jumping in to provide a little clarity.

The following T&C is a blanket one that is used for the majority of our challenges.
Please disregard the part referring to unapproved coupons for this challenge.

            • Purchases that do not count towards this challenge are those in which do not meet the store's respective terms and conditions (including but not limited to cancellations, returns, exchanges, using unapproved coupons, purchasing excluded products/categories).

Whilst it's correct that eBay will not pay a commission on unapproved codes, our challenge will still count your order so long as the value is $100+.
Our system will also set your Cashback to 'Approved' at $0 if you used an unapproved code, so no need to worry here.

As for eBay taking a few days to track, our challenge will look at the purchase date reported by eBay - not the tracked date.
So long as the purchase date is within the challenge time period, you'll be sweet!

            Hope this helps :)

    • Purchases that do not count towards this challenge are those in which do not meet the store's respective terms and conditions (including but not limited to cancellations, returns, exchanges, using unapproved coupons, purchasing excluded products/categories).

"Using unapproved coupons" means purchases using any other code will not count

      • I thought that, too. But that not the case here. To complete the challenge, you can use any promo code. Regular cashback will be tracked as 0.0%.

On the other hand, if you use SAFY20, PLUSFY22 or PLFY20 promo code, you will get regular cashback as well as challenge bonus.

  • Can you use a gift card if you are using a discount code?

    • Yes, the challenge will still track

      • Sorry, i meant during checkout, can you apply a gift card code AND a discount code at the same time? I can't recall but when i signed up for ebay plus i couldn't use the $50 gift card they gave me with other discount codes, but was so long ago i can't really remember

        • +2

you cannot stack promo codes, but you can stack Gift card & Promo code.

          • +1

            @mountains: Thanks!

            • +1

              @pichxlonco: Can confirm it works.
              Bought GC for $200
Item value $250, used eBay code SAFY20, bringing balance payable to $200. Used GC, balance payable 0.
Got cashback for GC purchase, bonus eBay cashback, and usual eBay cashback.

              • @88mph: Thanks for confirming! Then probably what i got from ebay plus when signing up was a promo code/voucher rather than a gift card. Will make sure to pay attention next time.

  • This reminds me, I still have $10 voucher from the last ebay weekend deal

    • On top add another $90…. to get another $10 :D

  • Wish they sell veges.

  • I have an existing $10 discount under my eBay summary as Ebay plus member. Will I still get the shop back $10 Gift card if use my $10 eBay discount?

    • According to above comments, it should track towards challenge (to get $10 gift card over $100), but 0% cashback

  • How do we 'opt' in to the challenge? Is there a menu button somewhere?

    • +1

You can see the challenge in the SB App. From Homepage → Monthly Challenges or from Earn More → Explore More.

  • Hi - I had a bad time to have my referral bonus approved, reached out to ShopBack support and they disappeared once I provided the required docs. Any ideas who I can reach out maybe here in the community? Thanks!

  • Added in description too. In case if you have opted-in for SuperSaverPerks Deal yesterday, you can stack for additional $3 bonus too.

  • I just used MCPAY10V2 code. Will I still get the cashback?

    • +1

If you have spent $100 after using code, you will be entitled for $10* Bonus GC. Please check the GYB comment above

*one must opt-in for challenge before a valid purchase.

  • anyones track yet? mines normally instant in the app

    • +1

Yeah I also have bought something via the app, but hasn't tracked yet. It still thinks my challenge isn't completed yet.

      • +3

eBay usually take about 1-2 days to track based on my experience. The challenge will show complete once your regular cashback gets tracked

        • Mine has tracked and successful challenge too

  • Combo with bnpl possible? Afterpay has $30 off a $50 purchase referral going for instance.

    • As long as you are spending Spend $100 or more.. YES I suppose.

  • only when I've already spent $100 or more, this promo appears. XD

  • Interesting there are no other eBay coupons right now

    • Hard to get decent deals now a day.. i’d just stack as many offers as possible:) like this one with yesterday SSP deals

  • The ebay app does not open anymore in SB. It links to the ebay website within SB app. Will this still count?

    • I have just tested.. its working for me. Try updating the app if you’re running older version or may be deleted the app and reinstall.

      • Thanks mountains :) . Sorry still not working after reinstall. I guess it will still count right as it is within SB app

        • I guess as its just like doing from browser.

  • does guest checkout purchases track?

    • I suppose.. they’d have mentioned otherwise.

  • Challenge limit reached? Can't seem to find in Shopback anymore.

  • Is it possible for only half of my purchase value to be tracked in the challenge? I made a purchase this morning for a few items in the one transaction, total value around $107, but only around half of it counted towards the challenge. It's saying I still have around $47 left to go.

    • There is still a possibility bcz eBay tracks based on the number of items & not the orders. It may take up to 7 days.

  • made impulse purchases in the past hour.

    $37 'calculating' + $58 'calculating' + $5 '1% cashback' = $100

    • all 3 transactions tracked, waiting for the challenge to complete.

      • it's still finalising results :(

        • spent $100 challenge failed, time to contact @gotyourback

  • How long does it take for record an eBay purchase? I've found shopback a bit inconsistent compared to cash rewards and I'm worried my purchase didn't save as it opened up in app

  • Mine hasn't recorded either
