Great price drop on the iPhone 12 (64GB) at Officeworks and Amazon. I think this phone is still great value compared to the iPhone 13 also the 128GB is at $977

Gets hot soooooo often. Wireless charging, heats up. Fast charging, really heats up. Hot day, bright screen, it heats up so much it has to throttle the brightness. Have been told mine is not an isolated issue and the glass design of the 12 series is just shit for heat management. Not sure if 13 is better but uses same design. And battery thing is self-explanatory. I came from an 11 Pro Max (too big for me) and the battery is so much worse even comparing a 2 year old phone to a brand new phone. It might do if you're a light user but I'm always babysitting the battery with this phone. 13 has better battery.

its weird how apple doesnt sell refurbished iphones, like where did all the faulty ones go?

when you get a replacement from apple you get a brand new battery, but all these 3rd party refurbished services only promise above 80% maximum battery capacity and I'm not quite sure about that range of uncertainty..

Apple repair it and put it on their refurbish stock for replacement on warranty claim

        • that does make sense, but they seem to sell refurbished units of everything else, and they seem to offer iphones in the states

An Apple referb is the same as NEW.

Every other refurb is just a wipe with a rag if the battery is above 80% and that’s about it. An 80% battery is lucky to last a year. Any repair is done by them is with crap parts and dodgy batteries

        • so any other ideas as to why apple doesn't sell refurbished iphones in aus?

        • ok you are so right, the world is flat.
Now I tell gran she has a fanboy.

    • Very reasonable price at $677 when it was available

Why waste a grand if you can donate it to our beloved Gerry and pay him 1800?
