Somewhat of an OzReminder, it's from this forum post from a while ago but a decent deal that some may find useful.

I was playing around with Grammarly, saw that the Premium Annual Plan normally costs $12 USD per month. With this link, it's $5.52 USD a month, which is a decent saving. It's a one time payment of $66.23 USD, which is roughly ~$96 AUD for 1 year of Grammarly Premium.

What is Grammarly Premium, and how is it different from the free version?

Grammarly Premium is a paid upgrade that offers over 400 types of checks and features, checks for grammatical errors, provides vocabulary enhancement suggestions, detects plagiarism, and provides citation suggestions.

While the free version of Grammarly allows you to access some of the features we have to offer, Grammarly Premium is the ultimate tool to ensure that everything you write on the web is captivating, precise, and easy-to-read.

  • Is it worth it? The premium version.

I put in my document and it had 25 free suggestions, and around 55 or so premium suggestions; the free version does a decent job of picking out any grammatical errors or mistakes, and it'll probably be fine for the majority of people.

I've used the free version for a while now, and I'm always curious as to what 'premium' suggestions it has. Definitely YMMV, I bet some people will find it life saving and some will find it a waste of money

      • and I'm always curious as to what 'premium' suggestions it has.

        It adds dad jokes…

Then maybe you should use it, spice up your OzB comments a bit more

      Is it worth it?

Not reely wurth it in my opiniun.

I love it so far, especially when writing a cover letter for a new job, it provides some great suggestions.
Left alone, I am a terrible typer with typos, this fixs that too ( yeah, you can get that in email or word as well).

I have been paying for it for a couple of years now and I find it worth the money. My partner and I share the sub.

I am very happy with the premium version. I work in marketing and haven't told my colleagues that I use it. They all think I am some kind of grammar nazi oracle. They send me all their proofreading and promoted me. Work smarter not harder.

  • Using the Link you only get the Regular price (12 / per month)… what am I doing wrong?

    • +2
      • This link still works 22/Sep/22

    • Try in another browser/incognito? If need be, you might need to make a new account, or make one if you haven't already.

The link that I linked to worked on my laptop, didn't work on my phone. The link that @wangsk provided worked on my phone.

      what am I doing wrong?

You aren't capitalising the beginning of the sentence…

  • Is it USD $66.23+Tax$6.62?

    • nope just the first lot

Microsoft Editor premium is included with M365 Subscriptions which most would have via work.

If not, better to purchase a M365 Personal / Family subscription, which not only includes the Editor plus also has better value included with 1TB OneDrive, Office Apps, All day Teams Video Calls, etc. on up to 5 devices.

M365 Subscriptions can be obtained for cheaper via deals often posted here on OzB.

M365 subscription + Free Grammarly, I guess you are covered far better.

Do you assume everyone uses Microsoft products or even wants to?

Pay attention in school. Save money.

    • +1

But school cost more than this. How is that saving money?

      • Public school is free. If you don't use up its potential then paying is the way to go.

        • You're forgetting all the text book and uniforms and school shoes that you have to buy. The on-going cost for those is a lot more than Grammarly

          • @nightelves: Some people just do not know the way. My three kids study at home on a single tablet (thanks Clear) completing only $0 courses from udemy. OzB issued shirt for uniform. Shoes? no.

Grammarly? We will share with neighbour's account over their Wi-Fi after we convince them that this is a good deal.

  • Your plan will be automatically renewed on September 24, 2022. It will be charged as one payment of $64.80 ($5.40/month).

I got it by cancelling my subscription and then they kept emailing me.

  • You might want to amend the title as it does not include tax. After tax, it is $72.85.

  • +1

Many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! The amended link works. I already have a 12-monthly subscription but changing it to the annual plan gave me the saving! $73.72 saved with two button clicks!

  • +1

Thanks OP - just purchased! Beats the 40% discount offer that was emailed after signing up for a free account.

  • My Premium account expired and looking for a cheaper way to renew it. I download Grammarly on my Android, and I find the Annual fee is TRY969.99 which is approx A$79.17. Has anyone tried that? Is there any difference between the two?

  • Does anyone have an updated way of getting a reduced rate? - the upgrade and expired links mentioned above redirect to a normal plan pricing page i.e. this has expired
