For sub $50? Maybe…. Price is OK.
But I'm not sure I feel the mids are 'full' enough to demand a subwoofer; the set I heard really needs a woofer first; before we move to sub.
It would be cool if it was like a Sony or Bose unit, and it was just a woofer, to fill in the lower frequencies the mids miss.
8W RMS…. that's not a lot. I would say spend a little bit more on some main-powered Edifier speakers. Even if you won't get a subwoofer, the sound quality and power should be infinitely better.
16W if connected to mains on these. Enough for me when I don't want to use my headphones and infinitely better than the built in monitor speakers.
I own these and I love them for the price. DO NOT connect them to your PC to power them. Use an old USB phone charger and plug it into the wall for exponentially better sound. These will easily fill a small room with sound very nicely.
Best of all, they are very well balanced, even if the bass isn't super deep.
Easily the best budget speakers I've ever owned.
Anyone got the Creative Stage Air? Seems to be on sale for the same price and is better functionally for my needs
Mine just arrived. Have to admit they're really good for the price. Distorted at high volume but I don't need them that high anyway to fill out a room when you're sitting in front of them.
Good little desktop speakers - but keep in mind these are the old version speakers that require both USB and 3.5mm to the PC as opposed to the V3 model that only needs a USB connection - and these have no bluetooth
not a huge issue though - Have the V3's on my partners PC would be good if you could get the sub separate for them
