The $20 voucher has a minimum spend of $200

    • +26

      No thank you, pass

    • +2

Probably can't combine with other offers either.

      • +7

Good to receive, bad for finding ways to use it

    • Yes no point of high minimum spend, that too only on eligible items

    • +1

Have to spend at least $270 in total to use the $20 voucher. Pass.

    • eBay sucks so much.

  • +2

Congratulations! You've successfully accepted this offer. Spend $70 in one or multiple transactions (excl. shipping costs and returns) by 26 June. 1 voucher pp. Voucher is issued from 1 July 2022. Min Spend $200. Plus members only. Exclusions and T&Cs apply.

  • +1

Did this start today? I had a big purchase yesterday afternoon.

    • +1

"Offer Period. The offer will only be available from 10:00 (AEST) on 14 June 2022 until 23:59 (AEST) on 26 June 2022 (“Offer Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel the offer at any time."

      • +1

Noticed once you accept the offer the start time is specified as that time.

        • Oops I just clicked on the link and the clock started.

    • You might still get it.
Just like 'superforever' below, I also activated the last 'spend $90, get $10' voucher after a purchase and still received it.

  • +7

Also worth noting, from past vouchers like this, cannot be combined with other codes.

    • I bought the Dell 4k monitor from the last deal and activated the spend $90 get $10 after I bought the monitor, I still received the $10 voucher.

      • +6

I mean you get a unique $20 discount code that cannot be stacked with other discount codes. It makes these useless for almost all purchases.

        • -2

Yes for this time, my last $10 voucher have no limit to use it.

          • +2

@superforever: I give up with this one.

            • +1

@reactor-au: Same, I am not going to spend $70 to get $20 voucher and have to buy something for $200 to use the $20 voucher XD

  • +5

EBay Plus getting worse and worse

    • +2

Wouldn't say worse, just been crap for years, only real value is the free shipping.

  • +8

Spend $250 out of pocket for $270 'worth' of items. Miss out on applying any other codes to the $200 spend. Likely have to chase up eBay for the $20 voucher after it doesn't automatically generate. Not for me.

    • I know right? spend $270 for a $20 discount

      7% discount at best

      • …and presumably after paying 10% GST
        (unless it's for 2nd hand items :-P )

        • I've bought second hand from overseas and been charged GST by eBay.
          Then cancelled the sale.

          • +1

@beach bum: You can thank Gerry Harvey for that, even better yet boycott Harvey Norman.

          • @beach bum: I don't like that either,
ie. why pay GST on old, 2nd hand (even damaged) goods ?

…and yes, thank Mr. G Harvey

  • +7

No deal, they will provide you a voucher that will expire before it’s expiry date as ebay knows us (customer) won’t be able to do anything about it.
No one has any power over ebay even when they do end up admitting that there was system glitch on their end

    • +2

Voucher will be issued to your eBay account on or around 1 July 2022.

The Voucher is valid from the date of issue until 23:59 (AEST) 30 September 2022

      • +5

Only issue is when you go to use your voucher on the 29th Sep 2022 you will realise that due to internal glitch voucher is not valid anymore as it’s expired.

  • I guess I’ll accept it though probably won’t end up using it

  • +1

Minimum $200 Spend, what a juke.

    • What a Juke.

      • +1

        Nissan Juke

  • +1

10% off essentially, suspiciously under eBay’s 13% seller fee. No wonder it doesn’t stack.

  • I prefer eBay giftcards

    • +4

      username checks out

      • +2

        username checks out

        • +1

Will take that as a compliment

  • +6

So I've been with eBay+ since it started. Each year I turn off automatic renewal, then eBay sends me an offer too good to refuse,
a voucher a discount etc asking me to re-subscribe. I've never paid full price, I'm really happy with the bargains I get,
the occasional vouchers they send me. It's a great service. I do feel a bit guilty dumping them each year and waiting for them to beg me to come back!!

    • +1

I agree, it's hard to see the value up front, especially compared to Prime with Prime Video. But then all up, it's actually worth it most years.

I've just sold my first item and saved $65 in final value fee, in addition they gave me a free postage label, saving another $20.

And that for an account that was signed up to Plus with the Shopback $40 cash-back and the $20 voucher from Ebay.

      • Yes I just received that offer for free "final value fee" for the first 5 items I sell in June, that will save me a lot more than the $49 eBay+ fee.
That 13.4% final value fee is such a ripoff!!

    • Each year I turn off automatic renewal

Where to turn off automatic renewal? I only found cancel membership

      • That's what I meant, it cancels it from when your annual subscription/plan ends not from the date you click it.
So mine ends in mid August 2022, so if I was to cancel today I will still be able to use it until then.
If I don't cancel it I assume I will be charged for another year at $49 in mid August.

        • So you pretty much cancel at the start of a new eBay Plus year to avoid forgetting to cancel just before the end and incurring $49 automatically?

    • +1

Sounds like a partner that won't let you leave,
and when you're on the brink of leaving,
      the partner spices things up.

    • Mine keeps sending me the$50 coupon link… But then doesn't let me use it, as it says I claimed it before… Annoying

  • +2

I loss $100 eBay gift card balance after a stupid glitch while checking out. Still waiting for eBay support to help sort it out after 3 weeks. Their customer service is really bad compared to Amazon's.

  • Ebay will be Ebay always!

  • +8

Note the voucher will have a $200 minimum spend requirement

    This is a bad deal.

  • Damn, I just brought xbox headset this early morning.
Fingers crossed, it would roll over like last free $10 ebay plus voucher where it would count if you brought an item before pressing on accept offer.

    • Just accepted offer because I spent >$70 yesterday. Doubt I will use the shitty $20 voucher, but maybe the stars will align and I'll desperately need to buy something for $200 that I can't use any other codes on and that the voucher actually works on.

  • +11

$200 minimum spend killed the deal!

  • +7

$200 min spend and relatively short expiry - not a deal.

    • +4

Actually, you have to spend $270 in total to take advantage of a $20 voucher.

      • +1

        How does that work??
I read $200 minimum spend. Can't stack vouchers or codes

        Edit.
Of course, you have to spend $70 first, to get the voucher, then $200 to use the voucher

  • I still haven't received the $10 eBay Voucher for $90 spent

    • +2

      Got mine weeks ago

  • +1

Can combine with current PLUSFY22 code 22% off eBay Plus?

    • One voucher at a time

  • I got an offer of 50% off sending sold items with Sendle.
No thanks, after my last 2 experiences with Sendle. Appaling.

    • +2

I sold an item that had a delivery address to WA. Took more than a month to deliver from Canberra with Sendle and had to submit a claim which they only covered the sold price and didn’t include postage cost either

      • I hear you.
Couldn't get an item picked up on one sale, the website kept telling me for 5 days the courier was unable to pick up since "the hub" was closed. It was a newsagent.
After the 5 days, I picked up the item myself and sent it across Sydney by Australia Post Express - I was so embarrased.
Even then Auspost cost only $1 more than Sendle.
An items I bought took 2 weeks across Sydney. I had given up by then and rebought the item
Ebay wouldn't support returning the original item - too late by then - and I no longer needed it.

        • +1

I agree Sendle is kinda very dodgy, Auspost is defiantly way superior, And honestly more quite a lot of packages AUSPOST is actually CHEAPER than Sendle with their if it packs it post range

And also not to mention the collaboration of Slowway (aka Fastway aka aramax) and Sendle compared to Auspost IS a Day and night difference

        • Not surprised. When I used sendle, I had to bring the items to a drop off location like a newsagency, cos the pick up drivers never bothered to show. I also had a couple of bad experiences with them over missing parcels (unsatisfactory outcomes), and their customer service is only through email, which they take forever to reply. They are just middlemen who partner with companies like Aramax (Fastway), Couriers Please etc. These courier companies probably give Sendle parcels the lowest priority. I will only use Sendle if I have no choice, the 50% off Sendle is NOT worth the stress.

  • Also have to be Ebay Plus . What a good deal ebay?

  • Computer says no.

  • +2

So we need to spend $270 to save $20 that too with limited Options :)

    • +1

no you actually have to spend $270 +, because it must be 2 separate transactions

1 transaction of $70 or more
1 transaction of $200 or more

If you are able to find items of exactly $70, and $200 that's a different case scenario but most people wont find it at exactly the same price

  • I appreciate the post because I didn't realise there was a $200 minimum spend. Now I can save $70.

  • +1

    this is pathetic of ebay

  • +1

bad deal to get attention from this community

  • Useless gimmick They might as well says save $200 to spend $2000 only on ebay. It's a con.

  • Just goes to show what ebay thinks of their ebay plus customers.

  • Damn. Was looking forward to using the $20 voucher on real estate

  • Hi, wonder if anyone with eBay Plus account is kind enough to help check if the code PLUSFY22 applies for the following items?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/p/17036536852
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322008856365

The non member code SAFY20 doesn't seem to work. If the Plus member code works I'll join as member to make the purchase. Thanks in advance!

*Sorry for double posting in another thread

    • Both items, SAFY20 and PLUSFY22 work

      • That's strange as I tried SAFY20 and it doesn't seem to work, will give it another try. Thanks for checking!

        • I checked both codes on both items and it all worked, not sure why SAFY20 wouldn't work for you.

          • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: Silly me I must have been trying it on a non-OZ account 😅 Finally got it working…Thanks again

  • Got my code today :)
