Yep. You juts pry the side off and take the drive off the SATA to USB adapter. I'd recommend using a proper tool for the job so that you don't snap too many clips.
Sounds it's the same as the external drives I bought more than 10 years ago.
Remove a USB to SATA adaptor board held by one screw, after unclipping the outer body. easy as.
