Been waiting for a deal on this monitor for EOFY and Officeworks have come up with the goods, not the lowest it's ever been but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

Not currently no, but I'd imagine it $1800 or less for mid-year sales somewhere. Keep an eye out for Dell's QD-OLED offering at $1500 for a very strong alternative, albeit not as wide in resolution.
Any good for video or photo editing?
G9 odyssey at this price or bust
Came here to say the same. THis monitor is nearly 4 generations old.
I saw this advertised on Facebook $500 less than the Samsung how does it compare https://prismplus.com.au/collections/monitors/products/prism…
DQHD vs DFHD, so nearly twice as many pixels on this Samsung which makes it much more sharper. I've seen a DFHD 49", do not recommend.
is it good for excel?
1440p is bad on macOS FYI
I’ve been running this monitor for over a year with a MacBook Pro and have no issues with the resolution or scaling. What’s bad about it?
Try DummyMonitor and see how much better it should look
M1 Mac's specifically are bad for 1440p*
you mean BetterDummy
@DiSTURBED-oNE: I do! somehow always get that wrong
I'm not using this specific monitor but I had to change some anti-aliasing number via terminal to get my 1440 monitor to look "good".
It's been a while, but I think it was called AppleFontSmoothing .. the options were 1, 2, 3.
defaults -currentHost write -globalDomain AppleFontSmoothing -int put_number_here
more about this from an old articlet, https://osxdaily.com/2018/09/26/fix-blurry-thin-fonts-text-m…
Having no bezels compared to a multi monitor set up would be nice but I think I prefer having triple 27inch monitors. Cheaper and even more screen real estate.
walk in stock or all online only?
I have owned one since the start of the pandemic and have been using it for gaming and work.
Takes up alot of space on your desk so owning a small desk might not work for you. If your main use is for gaming, getting a monitor with a 144 refresh rate and a smaller screen size would be better.
VA and no type-c ._.
Bad VA in this case, sure, but there are straight forward adaptors for type-C. Money is better spent on other monitor features than paying that premium.
Have the 34 inch samsung version.
They are ugly and stupid looking. Could not imagine going even wider. Curved monitors/tvs are ugly but hey if you don't mind your desk looking like a 15 year old asian boy whos never kissed a girl and is a marvel fan then maybe its for you.
I'm gonna grab the 48 inch oled when i upgrade
x 1440 meh
