Keep coming down and I'll stop HODLing.

    • It could last for years…

      • Then we'll keep HODLing :)

    HODL!

  • +14

    HODL gang unite!!!

  • +1

good, but should wait for the gaming OC version for a little bit more juice.

  • +5

Pretty good price for a 3070. 3070's aren't overly power hungry so this cooler should be more than adequate for anyone that can't wait.

  • +4

    3080 12GB @1200 or less - I'll hand in my HODL passport.

    • 3080 at $1k then I'm all in

      • Same here, I wanted a $1k 3080 for EOFY, but it just doesnt seem like it's going to happen. They're all still stuck at $1200ish.

      • +1

        won't be long.

      • Panic sellers just before 40 series release likely, just like 2080 panic sellers back in 2020 Oct.

        • Longing for more panics

    Holy smokes finally below msrp.

  • Hmm do I snavel one of these or wait until the Xbox becomes more available?

  • this is bound to raise a few eyebrows

  • D'OLH

  • +22

Yeah $20 under rrp after 2 years sure is a bargain

    • +1

      Ahahahahhahahah

    • +3

I mean is a second hand car costing more than a brand new one any less insane?

Every market is just a hot mess right now.

      • i'd do anything for a sub $20,000 R32 GTR again

    • 50 + likes as well…..

I find it funny how cards are coming down dramatically in price, yet people on ebay are selling their old cards for stupid prices still. Quite a few ads say "fhr" or "non-lhr" as if it even matters any more.
    Bloody miners lmao!

    • +1

It's nice to watch them squirm. GG ROI. Want $400+ for their 5 year old power hungry 10 series lol

      • +2

        Not to mention thrashed!

    • +3

This time last year, you could flip a 970 for $250. Now just over 100.

      • Finally time for me to flip the trusted GTX1050.

    • -1

what make you think miner sell 3070?

      • +1

I'm not saying they're selling 3070's…. i'm saying they're selling 9/10/20series cards for silly prices

        • -1

hmmm.. 10/20 card are non-lhr there is no such thing lhr for those

      • lower crypto values and higher energy prices lol

    • People are looking for bargains too. Just sold a bunch of stuff on marketplace for the first time since 2019, lasted less than a week

  • +1

    Rabbit, HODLiiiin!!!

  • +2

jezz, I bought this for $865 few weeks ago.

    • +1

They were $1400-$1600 at their worst and miners were buying multiple. Serves them right for inflating prices to that point in the first place. Energy bills are like a double whammy to the ROI boast.

  • The 50bps already hit GPUs?

  • -2

Haha bought mine start of COVID for $1200 and that was cheap then. Good card don't be cheap skates.

    • Smart thing to do. Held so long but I've missed out on better graphics and performance. I have to wait till next gen cards to make it worth it in my mind.

  • +1

I did pay $1350 for a Evga 3080 FTW on eBay today :-( Couldn’t keep using my 1080 with my 1440p ultrawide. It was getting rough

    • What were you trying to play?

      • +1

Just lots of gamepass games to be honest. Found myself turning the settings down to high/medium just to stay above 60 fps. Just over the waiting game. I bought a new car for 50k and 6 months later the new model came out with a tonne of better features. Makes the $1000 graphics card (which I use way more than my car) seem negligible

        • +2

I copped a 3080 Gigabyte Master today for not much more also eBay. Was tempted with the FTW3 but wanted the LCD to tell me what my fan speed is :D

          1060 3GB had fans spinning constantly @ 38" 4k 144hz when idle. And I don't even play games.

Hedging bets on supply chain issues/scalpers borking the 4000 series. And Nvidia's greed.

          • @Shard: Did you have the management software installed? If it’s a decent brand you should be able to literally have the fans turned off outside of gaming

            • @DemocracyManifest: BIOS set to silent on the card.

In 1080 it was fine but on the AW38 @144hz it climbs to 50-52 deg C in idle and then the fans kick in. Operating temp seems to be just high enough to mostly have the fans on 25% (barely audible).

Some websites make the fans kick up a notch and become audible.

Tried repasting. Thermal pads look fine. Put it down to just asking too much from a lower tier 1080p card.

    keep holding.
