Note : I tried this before, doesn't seem to do well for heavy phones, ie close or more than 220g.

    • So won't do well for the Iphone 13 Pro?

      • possibly not - i tried my phone with a case about 220g and could never get the OM5 to balance properly, thats why I returned it and went for a Zhiyun Smooth 5.

        • Is there a difference between the Smooth 4 and 5?

I think you now need to install an .APK file from DJI rather than just downloading the app from Play Store.

    • Thats correct.

The app isn't very good though.

    • Yup. Own DJI osmo 3 and never updated the app and worked well. After getting a new phone, the app from play store won't work and was last updated a long time ago.

      Will try the apk file

Another school of thought for the pros out there - Filmic Pro currently only supports natively the DJI OM series and the Zhiyun Smooth series.

I just picked up a refurb OM4 for $89 on Amazon. No telescopic extension, but double the battery life and half the price.

  • Anyone tried this with the Pixel 6 Pro? How does it perform?
